My ava versus alternative ava

My shop is attached to my workshop and home areas. This is so I can monitor the shop for problem children while I work. I can also correct vendor issues quietly and efficiently. My alt has the same powers as my main when it comes to group owned land. 1. I've noticed that many customers feel 'pressured' when the shop owner is around and not working on a new item. If I'm not working on something business related, I'll use my alt. I use her for building the shop itself and maintaining it. 2. Some customers want to flood you with comments and questions. This is fine when I'm building a new gown, because this is when people feel the most comfortable making requests or actual suggestions. But when I'm not building a new gown, I want to be left to my project without being considered 'rude.' My alt allows this, oddly enough. 3. When building, I don't want all the group stuff. My alt only belongs to one group and that's the group that owns the land. While I love my groups, I don't want to be closing 3 windows and 15 IM sessions while cursing the alignment of two prims that refuse to link even though they are within the link 'sphere' for their size. The other pluses related to an alt account are multiple for business owners. I can send on full perm copies of my designs to my alt in case something happens to my main or to the main's inventory. It also helps that my alt's inventory is more organized. See, I did learn something the second time around! And yes, I've used the alt for all kinds of testing purposes.

If there are no cute guys to dance with, i can always bring my alt into play cos he's pretty hunky and sharply dressed. Also, if I go and test out some animations, sometimes you need a partner and not everyone is up to being hit on by cute blondie to be their demo partner. So again, in comes alt. I still haven't worked out whether sex with an alt is masturbation or incest though? |

I have one alt deeply involved in RP. She is a character in a game and interacts only within the RP group.
Sadly, she used to go dancing & clubbing nightly before joining the RP, so now i'm missing showing off her fabulous wardrobe! C'est la vie.
I'll just pack up the clothes and label those boxes for when I tire of the RP....

Very good points, all of you.
And yes, I am one of those miss goodietoo shoes, who can not lie, no matter what I do. So, I will keep my alt just for...hmm...what do I keep her for? (I like her inventory. And her body is great too.) I keep her just in case someting happens to my original one. Yep. Thats it.

I have an alt and I make no secret that it's me. I originally set the alt up when I was having issues with my own account that were taking AGES to get fixed, and I was starting to worry that I'd lose my main account altogether. So I made the alt, and started freebie-hunting because I wasn't wanting to spend any money on him if I wasn't going to keep him. That spawned an idea, and so I started the blog http://freeformen.wordpress.com/ where I go round finding and reviewing freebie and dollarbie menswear. So then the problems with my main account were resolved, but I kept the alt, and continue with the blog, and I'm very open and public about myself being the main behind the alt. He has the same first name, and appearance-wise he's very much alike to myself. Except that he seems to have a far better sense of style than me, who's been living in the same pair of freebie jeans for 2 years!.  I tried to log both in together yesterday and it was lag hell.

From: Kira Cuddihy /me sits back and waits for avi #3 to appear I am avi #3  #1 bugged and could not log in; but both the AV and I were total newbs ... so I just started a new one. #2 was going to be a store owner but I soon found out I would rather buy than sell. 2 months of drama and a broken heart later, I was born #3 -- me #4 my fae alt to hide away with. Mostly freebie (I saw some faiery wings she just had to have) with no responsibilities and no friends list. She just finds garden areas to sit in and plays with scripting (SL magic).

It is the eternal question, the great question - so, when your av dies and you go to SL heaven (or hell), be sure to ask the big question: Was it sex or masturbation? Personally, for my primary av it would be masturbation. For the alt (if I had one), it would be sex. LMAO |
