Seems to me the OP was harassing the sim & it probably had nothing to do with homophobia (Have never been so can't say for sure) but more to do with a p**** causing hassle. I don't get all this homophobia though, guys who are homophobic seem to assume the gay guy will want them lol like anyone would want someone with that attitude let alone the fact their no different from anyone (Wondering if straight guys assume we all want them!)

Guess some guys just take SL all too serious

However homophobia in SL :- Live and let live, if you dont like what you see, dont go there !

Verbal abuse :- uhm......mute them.... simple huh.

Spendind 4 hours helping someone you dont know then get abused.... sh*t happens get over it

The freedom that SL gives us allows us to express sides of our personalities we "may " not express in RL, remember this when speaking to strangers.

SL should be a true democracy within the guidelines of our personal morals. and LL TAC's

ie we do what we like when we like

Above all what we should share is common manners, some goon giving someone grief for being themselves is not tolerated and neither should it.

Technically intolerance is against the TOS but I doubt it could or would be enforced.
If that was true a whole lot of intolerant people who post all sort of bs would be banned.
The truth is I am less likely to spend time helping people in world or even hanging out with people because of the attitudes and nastiness people bring into SL. I got over it. I am just less willing to spend that much time helping a stranger now.

You should visit once just to see the design, it is really well done and something to see. It isn't my cup of tea being a tree hugger and all but I have a lot of friends who love to play there and know one of the admins quite well, they are not homophobes, they are good folks, open, helpful and friendly.

Hmmm... I guess I'm not as "turn the other cheek" as everybody else posting on this thread. While homophobia would seem perfectly in-character for a dystopian setting, repeating it OOC would earn the speaker an AR from me, at least, and almost certainly a chat with the sim's admin, too.

I don't go out of my way to bait homophobes--and in fact have never encountered the problem in SL--but I don't think it's something to be ignored. It's a violation, and one with rather more serious RL implications than, say, a parcel-encroaching prim.

That said, I suspect in this case there's another side to this story. For one thing, the idea of a dystopian setting that doesn't think there should be any gays in their dystopia strikes me as incredible--*especially* if they were homophobic.

my Autoscum Bikcin account went into Midian City to genuinly rollplay, and as i had said near the Midian City conrete base in the Appocalypse sim i was rollplaying until i had said "My ex boyfreind said that" (the player said "all British citizens are like nanzies and should all be strung"

but seriously, this is out of order and LL will"not get involved" and i will, this is waaaay over the line and i have brought alot of other darkRP sim owners with me to prove that this kind of thing happens, they are all discussted and Midian City's traffic has gone down since this

If there is a midian city admin or owner who would like to talk to me about the homophobia issue please contact Chaos Bikcin in-world, or otherwise watch your sim die because of intollerence.

What would it be advertising, you also think i am greifing you i am not i was trying to have a good time, Midian can be a good place i have met some good people there, but the greifing there is to much sometimes, it needs to be sorted out. Also i am writing a review on all the DarkRP sims and i want to write a good one about Midian (it will look bad on my part if i write a bad review about it)

All have had relitivly good review except an Italian based darkRP sim

This is like the longest running issue (between me and midian) in SL it kinda needs 2 be sorted allready

I just spent the past 30-45 minutes exploring the Midian City, and wow! what a cool place. It is laid out very nicely with abandoned subways, a police station, a sewage system, and morgue. It is morbid and post apolcalyptic, yes, but very interesting and what it is supposed to be. I walked by quite a few people (although with observer tag on) and nobody said anything to me. If the administrators of this sim are not homophobic, then I wouldn't worry about what one rogue role player says to you. If the admins are discriminatory, then I would just find another place to play.

Chaos, I think the names you choose for yourself are a clue to your problems. You've got a bad case of self-hatred going on there.

You project that onto other people. Obviously, you can't hate yourself, so it must be that other people dislike you. And that attitude sets up a feedback loop. Pretty soon, others really DO dislike you. And you, in turn, dislike them, because they do. Feuds develop.

Try making an alt with a neutral name. "Bob", maybe, or "David". I wouldn't mind meeting a "David Bikcin". And if he was nice, we might become friends. I have a harder time getting past the Autoscums and Chaos's. They feel like black stone walls topped with razor wire and broken glass.

Sorry. Instant parlor psychoanalysis mode off. You do what you want...but I had the insight, and thought I'd share it with you.

I don't, seems he is quiet for a little while then when things get slow he comes here with some hair brained accusation against someone (and lucky for him can not name names eh)

and I bet if you any of you (or me) were to ask the person he is accusing that person would have a total different story.

We have all seen his attitude.

the one thing that raises a flag for me, is why was he there with his alt, if he was unwelcome with his main??

If I am not welcome somewhere, I do not go there, main, alt or other alt, etc.

It is laid out very nicely with abandoned subways, a police station, a sewage system, and morgue. It is morbid and post apolcalyptic, yes, but very interesting and what it is supposed to be. I walked by quite a few people (although with observer tag on) and nobody said anything to me. If the administrators of this sim are not homophobic, then I wouldn't worry about what one rogue role player says to you. If the admins are discriminatory, then I would just find another place to play. _____________________

Chaos, I think the names you choose for yourself are a clue to your problems. You've got a bad case of self-hatred going on there. You project that onto other people. Obviously, you can't hate yourself, so it must be that other people dislike you. And that attitude sets up a feedback loop. Pretty soon, others really DO dislike you. And you, in turn, dislike them, because they do. Feuds develop. Try making an alt with a neutral name. "Bob", maybe, or "David". I wouldn't mind meeting a "David Bikcin". And if he was nice, we might become friends. I have a harder time getting past the Autoscums and Chaos's. They feel like black stone walls topped with razor wire and broken glass. Sorry. Seriously, how many actually believe the crap he says? I don't, seems he is quiet for a little while then when things get slow he comes here with some hair brained accusation against someone (and lucky for him can not name names eh) and I bet if you any of you (or me) were to ask the person he is accusing that person would have a total different story. We have all seen his attitude. the one thing that raises a flag for me, is why was he there with his alt, if he was unwelcome with his main?? Another, another interesting, uh, lindenism, uh, there are only three jobs available to a linden. The first is making shoes at night while, you know, while the old cobbler sleeps.You can bake cookies in a tree.
