I had an adlot next door to me. I say "had". I bought it.

Why?

Because the adfarmer apparently wanted to sell to his alt and set all the plots to sell at 50L$ per plot (They were at 5000L$ per 16m plot). I watched him set the plots, not really knowing what he was doing, but when he logged, I thought he crashed, so scooped them up. I was adding them to my land when this "n00b" comes up and starts screaming at me that I had "his" land. After I realised it was the adfarmer as an alt, I about died laughing. I told him he could buy the land back, but it would cost him 5000L$ per 16m *grins* He got muted shortly after that due to his lowered vocabulary.

So buying adlots IS acceptable, but only on your terms ^.~

Yes buying on their terms just helps them pay tier on all 16m lots they are trying to use to rip others off, or gives them money to buy another 1024m in someone elses nice sim to cut up.

I allready totally surrounded/blocked/hided 16sqm adlots. never been ARed. never received any complaining IM (mmm. well, I admit I tend to mute any 16sqm owner I found...)
prices finally dropped to acceptable levels and I bought.
there are a few spots remaining "on" my land, prices unchanged so I won't buy, but I don't really care anymore

I have a huge ad wall, but in one case I have just a small area between a road and a 16m ad, what is the best texture that either looks natural or better yet looks great when you need to build a very tall wall?

I picked the ugliest texture I could find made the blocks solid, no one ways, no phantom. I think it was Atoll Thatch, an ugly green stuff.
