I'm not listening too often to radio on sl these days but have my ears tuned in to radio on web or cds. I like finding out what people are listening to. So, here's my "records of teh week" and my downloads.
On Da Buds BBC Radio 1 (pretty constant) and BBC Radio 4. They keep me in tune with what's going on in my world.
CDs this week: Florence and the Machine "Lungs" Jacques Loussier "The Four Seasons" (Loussier's jazz version of Vivaldi) The Big Pink "A Brief History of Love" Terence Blanchard "Wandering Moon" So wot's your choizes?

Well, before my sound card went belly up, in the rare occasion I had a stream on, it was usually Martini in the Morning, or Beatles Radio.com, or one of the Irish stations. I prefer to listen to my own CD's. Right now I have been in a film score mood, I love them. I've been listening to some John Williams collections lately, as well as several of the Star Trek scores...especially Wrath of Khan. I also have the score from The Blue Max in my Bose Wave CD Changer as well.
Good choice on the Terence Blanchard, btw.

I have had my parcel radio set to bellyup4blues pretty often lately. It's easy to find with google if you want a sample

Pep (Muse at home unless I pull the circuit breaker for my son's room.) I prefer Paolo's NUTini's younger brother Ricardo ALMONDini. They're hard-shelled but sweet people. I like radio 2 too - but pref. Annie M., Fearne, Jo, and Edith B.

I love hearing what's on someone's playlist. It can often be very telling. In SL, I'm generally listening to a soma.fm station http://somafm.com/ or Radio Pepito http://www.radiopepito.com/sitioeng/indexeng.htm While just surfing around, I'll have CBC Radio 3 on http://radio3.cbc.ca/My tastes tend to be all over the map as seen from the last couple of songs I've played: SoKo - I'll Kill Her http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nnEDSBriVXkOfra Haza - I'm Nin Alu http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OM7cj6nuvcgKelly Clarkson - Since You've Been Gone (lmao - STFU!) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cdxRS_GyBbMPlastic Bertrand - Ça plane pour moi http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PITnJAnmjqwThe Magnetic Fields – When My Boy Walks Down the Street http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aaUnv4dPrvUJoni Mitchell - Big Yellow Taxi http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7agB7jriyUUMetric - Gimme Sympathy http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LqldwoDXHKgThe Boy Least Likely To - Be Gentle With Me http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-tknrTkxBeULadytron - Seventeen http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ncl7New1czMJoy Division - Love will tear us apart http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4yTIpcwBTTsCSS - Move http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BF5LlKPVYkkThe Bird and The Bee - Again and Again http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TMy6X5cQul8Nina Simone - Ain't Got No ... In my parcels I stream ambient electronica, leaning toward ambient techno or IDM. In real life I listen to about 300 years worth of music from Claudio Monteverdi and John Dowland all the way up to the present day -- with a heavy dose of bombastic 70's English progressive rock. Bearing in mind I'm a middle aged codger, some of my favorite slightly more up to date tastes include: Muse - I know they're not very new, but they're awesome (for a bunch of young lads). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xsp3_a-PMTw Black Mountain - a newish retro-psychedelia band from Canada, but they look like they stepped right out of 1968 (which WAS a little before my time BTW). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3hgFJH0AuakSleepytime Gorilla Museum - an experimental band from either California or the Andromeda Galaxy. I'm not sure which. They've been around ten years or more, but they are still creative and exquisitely bizarre. They tend to invent some of the instruments they use. (Caution: Cookie-Monster vocals!) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=stQOll7LDTcAwww - you guys didn't really want to know all that. But who can resist championing the music you like? .
