I dont know what the actual answer is.. I just know LLs response was at best...flaccid. That's a very good way to put it, and now I know why we still haven't seen the promised blog entry... ...the Lindens are still waiting for their shipment of Lie-agra to come in to firm up their flaccid reasoning. |

I'm going with a major new feature of some sort, perhaps wireless compatible SL. Then maybe they could make a handheld, mobile viewer that connects wirelessly to the grid. SL that could be taken anywhere. Now that would be heaven!
Ofcourse it could be the opensource servers, they've been holding that over residents heads for nearly 2 years. I wouldn't be too thrilled as I'm not interested in owning a server or serverfarm, but long term it could be good for SL. So.. What's the announcement? It doesn't sound like something they expect us to hate. IPO? New CTO? Tier drop?? |

i think it might be the pixel lighting and shadows first look viewer, i am just trying to compile the viewer now, but it seems likely, either that or it will be something not so tekky (like new linden on the team or somrthing)

My best guesses:
Corporate: a new partnership or colaboration that will impact on residents. Technical: introducing shadows or LL releasing their own downloadable standalone regions. Administrative: A financial bonus of some sort to celebrate 5 years of SL. _____________________
