Does the difference between these two sets of "freedoms" REALLY constitute the difference between a love of freedom and an acceptance of tyranny?????

This really depends upon how you look at it. In the educators brown bag meetings it was made clear that exceptions will be made for discussions and exhibits that have cultural or educational value.

So it's ok for educators to have discussion around adult subjects but will residents be afforded the same exceptions? We've already seen a well known and very PG focussed resident receive an hour long ban over an artistic display of a nipple.

So for residents who love freedom, the only clear land they can have all the freedoms afforded to them is on adult land, this is partially the reason that mature land is so popular, it's not about people wanting poseball and pixel bumping, it's about options, options that LL only afford to a few if they're not on adult land now.

If your intent was to say that the correct term was contrapositive and not converse, then it should have been addressed to Clarissa, who introduced that term. Scylla, and I imagine Clarissa as well, have the good sense not to quibble over terminology.

But Scylla was commenting on Clarissa's observation of Rygal's point. I responded to her response to Clarissa . . .

Pep ( . . . not Clarissa's observation, which may or may not have been accurate, since I did not concern myself with that.)

Yep. Agreed.

But I was not attempting to suggest that there was no legitimacy in those who want MORE freedoms wanting to migrate to Zindra. My point was that it is hardly fair or accurate to imply that those who, for whatever reason, do NOT choose to go there are therefore necessarily NOT "embracers of freedom of expression."

If I choose not to exercise all of my rights of free expression, or choose to hang out in places where they are not permitted free rein, it does not follow that I am an "enemy" of free speech, nor that I am abnegating my right to it.

It's a very sad day when adults can't chose to leave a conversation when they find it offensive...that someone else has to 'protect' them from it. No wonder all the popular dance places are so quiet now, no one dares speak!

Zindra sure does bring out the exaggerations. Of course adults can leave the conversation if they find it offensive. Adults can also choose to spend time in places where such conversations don't occur. The rating system is designed to support that. The additional distinction between "Adult" and "Mature" makes sense to me, since I don't quite always want to abide by all the restrictions of a PG sim (e.g., I sometimes am around people who use swear words), but I don't want to be around sex or sexual conversation either.
