From: Brenda Connolly I'll take the sugar over the chemicals in diet soda. Same here! I don't drink coffee and a social drinker on rare occasion so I'm in the Pepsi Generation! (Anyone remember that ad?) I tend to eat many meals in front of the PC - generally Lean Cusine, Healthy Choice or a Stouffers frozen food - favorite being Stouffers Lasagne.

Morning: Coffee, light, no sugar or a latte, again, no sugar. Not big on the sweets here. Daytime: Iced Tazo Passion Tea, no sugar Evening. Iced Tazo Passion Tea, no sugar. A bowl of salt and pepper popcorn, freshly popped. Or some goat cheese and Carrs Rosemary crackers. Yummy! And I'll be the first to admit to smoking a joint if I'm lucky enough to have it I rarely drink anything alcoholic. I enjoy a beer now and then, dark ales. I LOVE good wines but alas, they tend to give me headaches so I don't just sit around and drink just for the sake of drinking. I save that for when I'm having nice dinners out and have food in my stomach to absorb it lol.

I rarely eat or drink while playing SL. As for the drinking part, I probably should. Hehe.

From: Jesse Barnett Morning, noon, night or even late night there is only one poison for me. Cappuchino, not fake cappuchino but the real thing. I have and use the following: Precision rotary burr grinder 15 barr pump expresso machine with dual heat blocks with custom, homemade micro-foam attachment homemade bourbon vanilla syrup custom mix of 1 part half & half and 3 parts whole milk local roasted Kenya AA/Jamaican Blue Mountain blend /me digs out her burr grinder and espresso machine and contemplates going back to "basics"

I have a Rancilio burr grinder and espresso machine. No micro-foam attachment for me, however - I learned to do it properly. I can't afford the Jamaican blue mountain, so I settle for Ethiopian Yirgacheffe.

From: Cristalle Karami I rarely eat or drink while playing SL. As for the drinking part, I probably should. Hehe. I know! After some of the conversations I have had, especially with really new residents, I've sniffed my Diet Coke suspiciously - like maybe someone slipped something in there when I wasn't looking. Some conversations are so weird that it just doesn't seem possible that I'm completely sober. I have yet to find anything weird in there, so I guess SL really is that strange.

I'm dead set against all those fake sweeteners, and use sugar in limit mostly because I just don't have much of a sweet tooth (though I have my moments - but a bag of Starbursts infront of me and watch me drool ) But then again, I don't drink soda at all, which helps.

Especially when you consider how we are told "Sugar free. zero calories. Drink all you want." I know people who wouldn't drink more than one or two regular cokes a day, wil drink 6,8 even 10 diets a day.

Seriously though, I inadvertently went cold turkey one weekend (due to unavailability where I was at the time) and realised how much better I felt without it, then went searching for the reasons why that might be and since then I have not touched anything with aspartame in it. Don't even get me started on MSG.

Tea & toast in the morning, probably loading my keyboard with crumbs. I'm amazed it still works. I often snack or even eat meals in front of the computer.
Alcohol varies with the season but usually G&T, red wine, mojito, sea-breeze, or beer-and-ginger shandy. Not all at once, and usually not when building or scripting.

ooops I forgot chocolate!!!!!!!
Have a Lindt's in the mall by the house. They have a new Salted Dark Chocolate bar. Curiosity got the better of me and my daughter on V day and we tried it. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm The salt sweetens the chocolate slightly while removing some of the dark chocolate bitterness. Kind of like a milk chocolate with all the dark chocolate intensity.

Interesting!
So... next question... can you tell what a person was affected by, by the creative results on the grid?
Better yet...
...do *your* creative efforts hint at a drug-induced artistic genius haze, or a sugar rush, or calm steady lucidity?
pics to back it up too, plz!

ugh can i answer the first question first? When thinking of what to make... and staring at the monitor 1) Fill mouth with as many cheez poofs as possible without crunching them.. 2) Take a generous swig of fanta grape, too much and it comes out your nose.. too little and theres no fizzle.. so get this right... 3) suck the fizzling fanta grape out of the dissolving cheez poofs.. 4) chew and swallow remaining cheez poofs 5) repeat until a Eureka moment hits.. of course this should be undertaken after a modest spliff... works for me

I might have a glass of water on the desk, or occasionally a nice plumy red, Cabernet Sauvignon for choice. But I don't like to eat while inworld.
It just feels weird.
Desmond' second round of questioning...No, I can't tell what chemical enhancements may have produce the brainworks I see manifested. Though in some cases, I can imagine that they may have been extensive.
As for my own creative thoughts, if any: when they occur, they seem to come after I've shut off the computer and gone to bed.

gosh. i hope i didn't force you into any of those scenarios. but i'm up for splitting a bottle of cab sav with ya, just for the good company. From: Desmond Shang I won't even begin to explain what brought this up, but noticed that what I got from the kitchen or office fridge started to correlate with what I was dealing with inworld, over the years. So here's mine: Late-night dealing with residents about land: ~ glass of Chardonnay and crackers, or Cabernet Sauvignon. Cold cuts and other quasi-healthy tasties when I have them, too. Terraforming and general region creation, infrastructure: ~ absinthe over ice, with a bit of hummus spread over sourdough slices. Okay, kinda strange, but it works. I think the bread blunts the full effect so I can keep rolling like that for a while. Dealing with new residents, or just general stuff after too many hours of SL: ~ Energy drink and a candy bar for that Prozac-y cheeriness when I would otherwise not have it. Rarely do it, but wow does it work. Coming down off the effects of that right now, actually... Dealing with Lindens: ~ it's never around when I need it, but I've *always* wished I had one of their give-away Kool-Aide packets from that old marketing push. Consider this a wishlist entry! Up late dealing with irate oldbies over stuff I can't control anyway: ~ Dark ale and those big, lightly salted pretzels provides the perfect perspective for such times. What are you chipping on, as you live your Second Life?

on topic - i can be seen drinking a glass of water, cup of coffee, hot cocoa, or some sort of buttery red wine - cab or merlot. shiraz. i usually have something sitting here with me, but it's not wine as often as i'd prefer since i don't like to drink alone.
