I won't even begin to explain what brought this up, but noticed that what I got from the kitchen or office fridge started to correlate with what I was dealing with inworld, over the years. So here's mine: Late-night dealing with residents about land: ~ glass of Chardonnay and crackers, or Cabernet Sauvignon. Cold cuts and other quasi-healthy tasties when I have them, too. Terraforming and general region creation, infrastructure: ~ absinthe over ice, with a bit of hummus spread over sourdough slices. Okay, kinda strange, but it works. I think the bread blunts the full effect so I can keep rolling like that for a while. Dealing with new residents, or just general stuff after too many hours of SL: ~ Energy drink and a candy bar for that Prozac-y cheeriness when I would otherwise not have it. Rarely do it, but wow does it work. Coming down off the effects of that right now, actually... Dealing with Lindens: ~ it's never around when I need it, but I've *always* wished I had one of their give-away Kool-Aide packets from that old marketing push. Consider this a wishlist entry! Up late dealing with irate oldbies over stuff I can't control anyway: ~ Dark ale and those big, lightly salted pretzels provides the perfect perspective for such times. What are you chipping on, as you live your Second Life?

I'm a sucker for tortilla chips and fresh salsa. Avoid anything that might leave your fingers greasy, because that messes up the keyboard. Coffee in the mornings, Diet Coke in the evenings.

I rarely will munch on anything whilst living my SL. I have been known to keep the bottle of JD beside the computer.
Right now, it's Gibsons Finest, with the mix just down the hall.
Of course, if I happen to be singing karaoke, or just singing privately to my girl, then it's water.

okay, reality is coke in the evening sometimes, but many times it is a few glasses of a shiraz/cab blend
I munch on cheese and crackers or popcorn at the computer all the time -- makes a terrible mess.

A nice white wine with a good balance of acidity and sweetness...like a Reisling or Gewurztraminer for me. If I'm snacking, then some nice Danish Blue Cheese on Triscuit crackers, with some chives or green onions.
Yum.

From: Damien1 Thorne Scotch Ditto. On the rocks. Or a Sam Adams, or the occasonal Shiraz.Snackage is popcorn, real popcorn, not that microwaved garbage with more salt and butter than is recommended. If a non alcoholic beverage is the choice, then it's Coke. Regular Coke. Or one of the Dr Brown's or Stewart's products. I'll take the sugar over the chemicals in diet soda. Morning is coffee. Black. No sugar.

when teaching someone and they don't know where files go when they download them from the Internet:
A rolling rock and a few slices of my favorite sushi. To keep it light and my head in my happy place.

This brings up the related question of how much time does an average SL person spend drunk at their keyboard in SL?
This could be enlightening...
I'll go first an answer both questions with one answer, I don't eat when at the computer, only have drinks and even then only non-alcoholic ones. Never drunk at the keyboard. Not because I am prudish though, just because I spend my drunk time elsewhere.

Morning, noon, night or even late night there is only one poison for me. Cappuchino, not fake cappuchino but the real thing. I have and use the following:
Precision rotary burr grinder
15 barr pump expresso machine with dual heat blocks with custom, homemade micro-foam attachment
homemade bourbon vanilla syrup
custom mix of 1 part half & half and 3 parts whole milk
local roasted Kenya AA/Jamaican Blue Mountain blend

From: Love Hastings What if your victim is drunk? Mmmmmm, now I am feeling thirsty again, oh wait, what? Oh yes the question! I try not to drink intoxicated people at my keyboard, that falls under the drunk time elsewhere
