It appears we have reached the tipping point and Resident Answers is finally turning back into the General Discussion forum that was taken away from us.
So, should we try to police or moderate ourselves? Does it threaten the future of RA to have so much general discussion here? Or is this just the way it's going to be without a daily check-in from a ResMod and should we just enjoy it until the next lock-fest?

I personally think we should keep it relatively civil, so moderate our own posts for a bit.. let things settle down, and hope that the world doesn't burst into flames.

Well, given that we can't really police the forum w/o the ability to lock threads and/or delete postings, the best course of action may be to just ignore those postings which are too inane to merit the time it takes to respond.
On the off chance that RA would die, we would find another place I'm sure. But we're not there yet. So why don't we just ignore the flamebait postings?  |

This might sound silly but I'd almost rather see the Technical Questions forum merged into this one. I didn't even realize that forum existed (I've been to Textures and Builds, but my eyes glazed over when I saw "technical."
 I popped in there the other day and realized that 99% of those questions are the same types of questions we get here (login, etc.) I for one am just too lazy to cruise two forums. I think tech should merge over here. Just one girl's opinion._____________________
