Hi, I'm an SL newbie, interested in SWRP, not sure which forum will reach the right audience for this post. Anyone have advice on stormtrooper avatars? Does anyone make clonetrooper too? What ones do you recommend and why? I've taken a look at Dazzo's at "ad infinitum" and Furia's at Furious Avatars. Are there other good ones? Though I will sometimes be full trooper, I plan to ultimately wear it most of the time with no helmet, and Jedi cloak, sort of like this: https://www.gentlegiantltd.com/images/product/12/138/obiclonearmor_large/productDetail.pngI see Furia's version 2.1 is L$925 (or L$1375 for stormtrooper + sandtrooper), comes with an E11, and touts the helmet removal features, sculpted mask & boots, 5 sound clips, resizable armor system (though I'm just a regular human), and shiny-ness adjustment. Dazzo's version 1.1 is L$1250, comes with pistol, and touts grenades, gestures, Sandtrooper backpack, comlink chat, sound effects, clean/dirty versions, a HUD, rappelling, a flare, and a tent. Dazzo's must be worn on the included body shape. Dazzo's says only parts of the clothing are modifiable. How does that compare to Furia's complete re-sizing feature (which I guess won't impact me much, I'm standard human). So...recommendations anyone? Are either suitable for wearing with cloak, as I'm intending?

Prim heavy avatars often come with a shape to ensure optimal fit of the prims on the avatar. If your not comfortable with modifying the prim parts to fit your shape you should wear the one that comes with the avatar folder. Furia sells the weapons separately from the avatars. I find that her work is pretty nice. I don't recall seeing Dazzo's

Do you wear Furia's? I don't think it comes with a shape, but she talks a lot about the resizing ability on her notecard.
>Furia sells the weapons separately from the avatars.
Well, she does include the E11 blaster with the avatar. I will need a lightsaber too, someone recommended Furia's, I don't know if anyone else makes good ones or not. And someone recommended Fairlight weapons. Heh, have to find Jedi clothing/cloak too.
>I find that her work is pretty nice. I don't recall seeing Dazzo's
If you're curious, Search in Places for "ad infinitum".
I had 1 or 2 troopers in-world recommend Dazzo's, another 1 recommended Furia, but none had time to talk about why.

I don't have any of her avatars but I know people that do and are quite happy with them. I do have 2 Mace Windu lightsabers from her and the combat hud it comes with is excellent. It has the different light saber fighting styles that were available in the Jedi Knight game series if you are familiar with that. you can dual wield sabres and the animations work quite well with dual sabres. In addition you can purchase add ons like the light sabre throw.

Never found one I liked tbh. I ended up using a cloak from Avilon Mist. It's nice and the hood has shadowing on the face. For non-cloaked look I simply got something from DE

From: Jaszon Maynard Do you have any recommendations on Jedi clothing/cloak? Search for Ghanie Lane in the 'People' tab and take a look at his 'picks'. If you need some LM's, IM me. (I'm not sure what DE is, either...)

but its your money, go for it How so very helpful of you, Kiboe. People don't usually wear every single attachment that comes with an outfit or avatar. I'm thinking Jaszon won't be walking around in clubs wearing the tent that came with. Neither will he wear all weapons at the same time. For all you know, 'clubs' may not be his thing, either. I know it ain't mine. Some oldies enjoy prim heavy hair, or un-needed male attachments under their clothes, others like weapons and capes. You can join SL and only start popping in regularly later on - hence the use of the term 'newbie'. Seems like you also have a lot to learn

From: Kiboe Munro seeing as you joined a few months ago, you have alot to learn, buddy As you can see from my forum profile, I joined Feb. 08. If you check my SL Profile you'll see I was born 2/18/08. But thanks for the insult. As far as clubs, I mentioned this is for SWRP, so it would be in SW regions, which are not going to disallow stormtroopers. I have heard there are clubs full of troopers, and I've been in clubs full of bounty hunters, which are also high prim. If I'm in a non SW region...I don't care much about general clubs yet, and if a club owner there decides what I feel like wearing is "unnecessary" then I can always choose to find someplace less dictatorial.

It's not so much being dictatorial as it is a case of trying to keep the lag down in crowded areas. Many popular venues will do this , especially during live events, asking that all unnecssary scripts be removed.

my hair and shoes are over 200 prim in themselves, and nobody has ever asked me to remove my shoes or hair because of 'lag'. i dont think he needs any lessons on primmy avs. he is quite clearly looking for star wars things, not admonishment from sticky-beaked busy bodies.

Seeing how you only joined last June, i can understand that you have not been to any venues with people that have creative avatars -non-furry- with plenty of prims from the jewelry, hair, clothing attachments, shoes, etc. Just my neck up is 750+ prims, nearly 1000 if i wear my high prim hair and beaded choker. Should i now talk about shoes? bracelets? belt? Clothing attachments? No one has ever said "Briana remove your pierces" (which account for nearly 500 prims), and if they did I would simply leave the event. You say "most places" - but i will be here 5 years in September and have never experienced such treatment.
