Okay, "here we all sitting in a rainbow" (Name that song and group without going on google)
But more seriously, this is the first Sunday morning I have had off for 5 weeks. My day-planner on my Blackberry is blank. I'm at my desk, twiddling and twitchy. I can't call my mum coz she's 4000 miles away and gone to lunch. My best friend is writing a book review in a big city elsewhere and has switched off her blackberry. I dont have to do washing up, laundry or anything like that. Yes, I have people "in" to do that sorta thing (that should piss some of you off). I dont have kids, husbands, dogs or rabbis. I'm even too lazy to go ON sl.
Tell me what you do on Sundays - in sl or rl.

This time of year I go shopping with (American) football widows. I'm the token guy who stands around and looks long suffering while they are trying on clothes. I usually take an iPod along with an audiobook or other podcasts loaded. If not that, a trip to the art museum which is open on Sundays here or a hike with the new digital camera to do some architectural photography. If I stay at home by myself, I'm probably puttering at one of my own art projects or really focusing on a long classical music piece or reading or dabbling in one of the seven trillion hobbies I am interested in. I am never bored really. It's one huge advantage of being an introvert. .

Hmm.. I verified that all the network hardware moved time properly, and then I have replaced several older switches with new ones, and working to update firmware/IOS on everything. I also cruise the forums looking for strange things to post.

From: Jig Chippewa Okay, "here we all sitting in a rainbow" (Name that song and group without going on google) "Lazy Sunday Afternoon" by the Small Faces, who metamorphosed into the Faces with the introduction of lead singer Rod Stewart (to replace Steve Marriott, who I think went off to form a supergroup with Peter Frampton and someone else) who had been discovered by Long John Baldry singing on a platform on Richmond railway station. "Ichycoo Park" was probably their biggest hit, written about them getting stoned in the grounds of my old college (the reference to "under dreaming spires" is incorrect as that description relates to Oxford) before they played in a May Ball there. Pep (For extra points, during what month do May Balls take place?) PS On Sundays I occasionally look at the forums and answer easy questions. PPS You missed out the word "are" in your lyrical quote.

On sundays I bicker with my flatmate. Todays topic: "Is it way to hot or way to cold in here?" - followed up by "There is a limit to how much you can undress, but you can always put on more layers"

Sunday can be several things, depending on the situation. In the summer, I try to spend as little time indoors on Sundays. I go to a local flea market, find some sort of festival or fair or go to a sporting event. In the fall, I like to take long drives to nowhere, into PA, or New York State, and just see what I can find. If the weather isn't great or I am just not in the modd, then Sunday is a day to watch football, clean house, do grocery shopping and do some cooking. I like to make a weeks' worth of meals sometimes, and toss them all into the freezer.

Jig! What a perfect day! Go down by the seaside and plan for a nice, long, slow, luxurious lunch.
A spot where you can watch people hurry by, the cars trundle along, the sails drift past... and just observe, in peace.
It's glorious. I do that sort of thing every chance I get.
Get a small dessert with a splash of coffee, too.

I spend the day cleaning the house, and then making food for the week ahead. Bread, stock, soups, quiches and pastries mainly.
Then most of it goes into the fridge/freezer so when I get in after a hard day at work, I can just shove something in the oven to heat.

I finish any RL chores that I did not do on Sat - which is a lot this week since I was in SL almost all day yesterday hosting the Halloween party. Then I play -- reading, SL, reading, SL, whatever.

Get a small dessert with a splash of coffee, too. It's snowing. I love it when my plane is delayed at an airport and I can get the time to watch people walk by or sit down near me. Then I imagine what it would be like if "he" was my husband or "that" was my kid. Okay, that really sounds sad doesnt it?

Des, I'm slightly materialistic but I cant help that. I wouldnt be me with the things that make me "me", and all the things that have been handed down to me. He'd better collect books!

Or maybe you'll be rustling a paper in a chair just down from me, with shiny celluloid light coming in the windows and look at me and say (to yourself, of course), "Who's that chick with the Ferragamo boots and that gorgeous red pea-jacket (Givenchy). I like her in those cool sunglasses. She looks interesting."

And of course, Des has no secret curiosities whatsover. Oh, nosiree bob. I dream of the stock market and businessy stuff only, and I'm sticking to that story rather tightly. re: peacoats. I still have my dad's WWII era peacoat, dark navy blue wool, with a silk dragon embroidered on the inside. Done by some anonymous stitcher in 1930's Shanghai.

He'd better collect books! Come home once in awhile Jiggs. We don't get snow often, but I could do with another set of hands when the wind whips up and the mud dries wet. The bunnies come into the house, at that point I'd stuff you in somewhere to sleep, unperturbed, knowing what annoys you.
