That happened today, while away and camping. When I back I had this sign over my head, following me where I go. I logged off and back, I take out ALL my clothes and attachments and it still there. Cannot touch it, so is not an attachment.

I take a shot: http://brasilacimadetudo.lpchat.com/images/placa_001.jpg

Any help will be very apreciated.

thank you very much in advance!

If it wasn't a problem it'd be funny... maybe it's just a follower, and if you log out, and log in somewhere else, then it will be gone. Only thing I can think of.

Seems like when you log out it might be sitting there waiting for you, then coming back when you show up in the same spot.

It's a follower, and no, it's not an attachment. You lose it by getting it to follow someone else, or teleporting away.

Can you right-click on it and do Edit? That should show you who owns it.

If you can't right-click on it, turn on Highlight Transparent in the View menu then move around a bit and look for something that's sorta glowing red and following you. If you can find one, right-click and Edit it to find the owner.

Also right click on it, inspect it, and AR the owner.

Sounds like you were tagged. You can not click on it because it is a particle, not an object.

TP to a different sim and it should go away.

There _must_ be an object for there to be particles, though. That's why I suggested she turn on highlight transparent..

If the object is small and centered within the person's avatar, that will not help, unfortunately.

I'm must be evil. I busted out laughing when I saw the pic. I saw it happen to someone else once and he was very pissed and wouldn't stop screaming. It'd stop being funny shortly though I'm sure. I hope TP'ing helped.

Sometimes TPing and relogging don't get rid of these things. If it persists, cam above yourself so you can look directly down on yourself.

In the Tools menue, click on Select Tool, then Edit. Now your curser will change and you can drag a selection box around yourself. Your hair and any attachments will show as being selected.

Look at yourself to see if there is any object attached to you that you are not familar with. If you can see the outline, you can right click on it and delete it.

Even particles need to be housed inside an invisible object. So this SHOULD work.

Hope that helps, ****tard!

If there has to be an object for the particles to come out, couldn't she just do a search in inventory under "worn"?

This specific example looks very much like ....
http://www.slexchange.com/modules.php?name=Marketplace&file=item&ItemID=207700

Please, please, please use sparingly and don't forget to remove the tag from someone afterwards. This has the very real potential to get you AR'ed if abused.

Dunno.
People are using the term 'follower' maybe that means it's not worn, but somehow senses and AV and remains at a certain close distance from them.

ok - I'm not laughing. I'm not. NOT.

stoplaughingstoplaughingstoplaughing....

I'm sorry this happened to you. Whomever did it was a total jackass, but I'm like Bradley in that a part of me wishes I was responsible.

If it's an attachment, how can you attach something to someone else? I can rez something and move it onto them if they hold still, but the second they move, it's gone. What makes it stick to the OP?

No it's like the mystitool TRAP. You select a target AV and apply it to them.

No, it is not worn. It exists in the sim and is scripted to follow you.
Meade, when I said it could not be clicked on, I mean the sign itself. The object it is attached to is probably very small and invisible. Think mini-prim with 100% alpha texture.

If you have a MystiTool or some other device, you can look for active objects within 5 meters. Probably 1 meter would work. AR the owner if you wish, not the creator.

Logging off and coming right back is no good. Te object is still there. TP'ing out then coming back is the same. It's still there waiting to follow you. Walking across a sim line "might" work but it's doubtful. Going into a parcel with object entry turned off will leave it at the edge waiting to move back to you. TP at least 1 full sim away. It can not follow you. It will be returned or hang around the sim waiting for you to come back all depending on how it was scripted.

I finally saw the picture the OP posted......not nice, not nice at all. Especially when you are in a quiet office and randomly burst out laughing.

I gotta be honest, something about the word "F***tard* just brightens my day and hits the funny bone

But I guess if I were the one with the F***tard tag, I wouldn't be a laughin.
I wonder if the OP ever got rid of it.

I wonder if going to a buddies land and having them return objects that they don't own would make it disappear?

Got it - this answers my question. Thanks Yosef.

Yosef, if it were scripted to wait for you to come back, how do you get rid of it completely? Say I re-enter my favorite place, and like an eager dog it resumes it's position by my side.
