If that's the direction we're taking now, I will enjoy telling you guys all about the problems I'm having with my RL neighbor. Because you know, a lot of people in SL have problems with their SL neighbors, so it's totally relevant.

Well, since Strife fell asleep...I DO have a question that may be legit: What exactly IS ponyplay? I honestly don't know. Now for those of you checking my SL age, I guess I should know by now (like that post that claimed to not know what a Neko was....yeah right) and I have noticed some pony tail attachments and stuff but I swear i just don't know. Is it a fetish or role play or what?

The thing about the pony play in RL, as I understand, is that it is for males and females. In SL it appears to be more between just women although there does seem to be some men involved, but very few from what I've seen (I've chanced upon some sims in my wanderings).

I remember a TV show a while back, I think it was called Real Sex maybe? It focused on different kinds of things people did sexually, such as fetishes and pony play was one of them. There was a group they showed who were into this, and in the RL group, there were quite a lot of men as stallions with women riding them for sexual pleasure.

The pony groups I've come across in SL, well many of them mention that the women involved are in the groups because they have been abused by men in RL, and are there to be taken care of in a non-violent, loving albeit, yes, submissive, way by other women.

Can't say if this is true or not - I'm not involved in this at all - just a curious bystander who has always had an interest in what drives people sexually into doing the things which they do. Chalk it up to my background in abnormal psych when I was in college

I've seen female and male ponies in SL. I've seen Male and Female dominants. Most of the dominants/subs I've seen, though, were female. As in I think I saw one male dominant and one male pony.

Yes I know, that's why I included the "RL pony girls/boys" in my question. You said that RL ponies and horses would know what a lead means, implying that RL pony girls/boys would not know what one was. Now you say they would always react differently.

Heck, I don't know, I do not know anything about real horses, or real ponygirls/boys. Hence my question.

I have a friend in RL who....wrote a book on pony girls. Seriously. He also wrote a BDSM dictionary.

I'd love to see a male pony. I'd get a giggle out of seeing a guy dressed up like that.

As for the mention of the abuse, blah, blah blah, I saw that in the notes for the groups. I guess, like all other fetishes, there must be "sub-groups" and perhaps I stumbled upon some women-only ones which would account for that particular mention.
