What does this have to do with SL?

Ahh, the naivete of Youth ..............

Its a BDSM subgroup. A pony girl is a submissive who dresses in leather and vinyl complete with hobbling boots that force a certain gait, a Bit, and a Tail .. hmm .. creatively .. kept in place.

the pony girl then prances around and acts like a horse.

Very popular in SL.

Over the years Ive been aware of several attempts to create stables, riding clubs, etc.

So in other words "What does this have to do with SL? Nothing more than ... anything else."

Nothing more than Furries or Gor or any other activity that people in SL engage in.

Nothing less either.

I rode a ponygirl once; she was all sparkly and pink.

Precisely.

There was a show about interior design on tv last night. Did anyone see it?

Too bad Gambling has been banned. We could bet on the PonyGirl races.

I question whether people in SL actually are involved with Interior design.

Or maybe i just need to go out and see some better builds.

Then you have seen my house :o

I guess I'm just being too subtle. My point is that if the OP had said "I saw ponyplay on bones on fox does anyone in SL do this?" our beloved Strife might not have popped out of the cupboard.

But if Bones had had a show on Furries or Gor? I wouldn't have been surprized if someone brought it up.

That reminds me: On one of the recent "The Big Bang Theory" episodes (the latest?), the team of nerds were playing WoW, and when they were done, one asked if the others wanted to cool off in his pool in Second Life.

I was actually wondering if the episode mentioned SL; this is pretty off-topic if it doesn't.

I see them every now and then but I've never done an in depth study of the community. I didn't think it was a big community, but I suppose they can hide easier compared to fur. Slavery and pets never caught my interest... I'm too much of an independent thinker to be a pet and running someone else's life is too much like work (it could be said I have the personality of a cat). I've wandered into the stores and stables from time to time during my wanderings (what do they say about cats and curiosity?), not an unpleasant experience. Pony play is in my head next to the folks who like gas masks and rubber. I can understand the attraction to pony play but gas masks are a puzzle for me.

This discussion is best suited for a general discussion forum, I'm going to lock it.

*yawns and curls up for a nap*

Does not mention SL, but the episode of "The Big Bang Theory" that I mentioned did mention SL.

I don't think that would be a random outcome... isn't it a skill based thing? Like, we'd be betting on the skill of the ponygirls to hobble around, right?

i always did wonder ...

when the gambling casinos left ...

why didn't someone open up a horse race track? i had visions of furries running around a track and a crowd of avies betting on the outcome. since the winner would NOT be determined by a random number generator but by the speed of the avies ...

if i had enough land i might have done this.

Holy crap. I have a gas mask. I figured it was a goof object, like the brain in a jar and the batmobile. I figured I'd break it out the next time someone made a fart joke around me. It never even occurred to me that it could be used *that* way. OK, seriously, how the heck does a gas mask...? What?

/me's mind boggles.
