Yes, another personal message from me. If you don't like it, don't read it.
I am going to send a notice out to the Cartel tonight, but since some of you aren't in the Cartel and since notices are wonky, I am posting here as well.
I want to thank you all for the wonderful gift you sent me. You have my deepest thanks from the bottom of my heart. I have literally cried tears of deep emotion over the gifts and the letters that came with it. It will hopefully allow me to make some visits back to this world that has meant so much to me. (well it and the steroids)
Many of you have referred to my condition. I have had MS for 9 years now, active anyway, last summer I transitioned from relapsing/remitting (where I would have plateaus of no loss and lessor symptoms ) to secondary progressive (which is basically a slow steady decline with no let up). In November, I was hit with some pretty serious setbacks, my time on SL was cut to almost nothing. Maybe an hour or two a week, due the the massive fatigue and some pain issues (I had what can only be described as a charley horse that lasted for 8 weeks 24/7 in my legs).
I am on some major steroids now, to reduce some of the inflamation and to give me a superman boost. I hope to start a new drug treatment soon to slow the progression.
I do want to say again how deeply this outpouring has touched me. What am I gonna do with you all. I never dreamed ...........words fail me. To all of you, thank you. Thank you for the thoughts, the comments, the prayers, and the gift.
With love, friendship, and many thanks, Chris

From what I've learned, sounds to me like you have earned the right to post whatever and wherever you'd like. They really do love you here. Gotta be a reason for that 'outpouring', eh? I wish the best for you, and pray that your SL is all that it can be, and that it cheers you.

Ah Chris...I don't mind admitting that I cried my heart out when I read your very first message about leaving, not only that you wouldn't be online/inworld anymore, but I deeply agonized about your condition in RL and how it was affecting you and your daughter. My prayers have been answered in that you have received a reprieve and hopefully an everlasting one. My best wishes from the bottom of my heart and soul that you enjoy the greatest of health. You are a good man of strength and character...I knew that from the first moment I met you Please be well--- Ashe

Hey Sweetie! So glad you enjoyed your gift! Ghosty and I totally screwed up about sending a personal note in the package, who can remember why but you know our love and prayers are always with you. I hope the new computer will enable you to pop in more often and I can tell you that having a laptop in bed with me was always a lot of fun Superman indeed!

Oh gees Chris.....and I just got done watching The Kyte Runner.... I'm already in tears.... My mom had MS.....so I understand your struggle and I admire your spirit. These are the moments when I wish I wasn't so much of a loner in SL....I miss out on getting to know some of the truly extraordinary people that make up this spinning orb we call home...... Be well Chris.....laugh as much and as often as you can....cry when you need to.....and know that we're all here missing ya and loving ya. ((((hugs)))))

Chris,
I'm so glad you're getting some treatment that will improve things for you. I really admire your courage, and respect the person I know from the Forums and the Cartel. Please take care, I'm wishing you well every day. ((hugs))

Aww. I enjoyed dancing with you. I have some physical limitations. I can dance some in real life but not fancy ballroom dancing. It was sweet to do a ballroom dance with you at the cartel clubhouse, knowing neither of us could dance like that in real life.
My prayers are with you.

Thank you for sharing the good news! Here is to hoping the new treatment works wonders. Shots anyone? (actually, straight up in short glass in order to sip it is a better way to savor this fine brand.)

Seriously Chris - I can only imagine what you're having to deal with. Like so many others here, my very best wishes and a manly hug Inc I am a big enough boy, someone doesn't like me crying, will end up crying their own self. I will run over them with my walker or smack them with my cane.

So good to see you here, Chris, and I hope the lappie brings you much pleasure! It's good to see you back, as often as you can make it. You are a rarity in SL (well, actually, in the US, at least where I've been hanging out), a warm yet very adult guy. Your daughter is very lucky to have you as her dad, no matter what your health! Drop in when things get particularly absurd please, it's always a pleasure to see your bulls**t radar in operation.
