Places I love to shop:
Grendel's Children - every time I'm there I see something new and great, and the build alone is worth a trip! Yoa Ogee and Yeti Bing (I *think* those are the names) have another great place to shop for avatars. And cool alien plants. And more avatars. Their sim is very cool to experience too. But I think that's not really what you're going for here. Hm... designers/shoes/clothes... I just have to brag on my brand new thigh-high boots from The Bobbysocks Shop. Very yummy, and well worth a trip. The owners are very willing to do adjustments (though mine fit perfectly out of the box) and just nice people all around. They've got clothes and various other stuff too, but the ladies' boots are to die for. Another place worth checking out: Falln Angels. Clothes, skins, furniture, and much more, and the sims themselves are just amazing. I'm going to have to snag some of their snowmen for holiday decorating this year. For vintage clothing, you can't go wrong with Skye Qi's shop at the Oak Tree sim. Hm... I really haven't been doing much shopping lately, more building and socializing and prize-hunting. I know I've got tons more places I like, but these are the ones I can remember off the top of my head. _____________________

sorry did not mean to offend, however even you yourself said that they are not a popular choice here and over priced I thought we were still free to state an opinion, even the not so glowing sugar coated koolaid induced ones... (and since when did people follow the "topic" of a thread on these forums sheesh) Of course you are quite correct Rhaorth, we can all express our opinions. The original post was asking for reccomendations, which everyone - up until you- had given, without the need to go back through other posters suggestions and make comments about their choices. You chose to speak out negatively about someone elses choice...rather than give anything positive. I find that curious given that in a post a while ago, you were stating how very sad it had made you when someone had rubbished items you yourself had made and sold in your store...perhaps you might then know how it feels to have negative comments thrown your way about things you`ve made and hoped would do well in the very competative fashion market. I suppose I was surprised that you yourself then display that same behaviour that supposedly caused you so much distress. If someone had posted for example "Rha!! go there it rocks!!" then someone else came along and said "blehhh its not so well made, zoom in, its poorly constructed etc etc make your own its cheaper and better!!" Im pretty sure from reading your past posts...youd feel VERY upset and probably post as such.Who knows if the maker of Stilletto Moody reads these forums or not, who knows if she/he is a sensitive soul, she/he might not give a hoot..but MY opinion, which I am free to state also, was it was not really required for you to censor anyone elses taste in shoes, state your own perferences and be positive ! For the record...I said Stilletto Moody shoes were " a little pricey" NOT overpriced two VERY different things, and Ive posted before my love of those shoes and Ann always says bleh , hence my comment that I felt they were not popular on this forum ![]() _____________________

as I said I am sorry, I was stating an opinion
for the record I have no problem with people saying my stuff sucks, the problem I have is when they hide behind an annon post and say it. Would it hurt, maybe, depends on the situation I did say they are nice, but not nice enough for the price they want, at least not for me and if you did not notice, AFTER my post others said they do not like that place. I was not attacking you or your choice, I just for some strange reason felt like saying what I thought. Why I said it... no clue puts a few things into perspective for me though now.. would it have made a difference if I had done it on an alt that no one knew? If the comments were "faceless" as it were?... as for anyone saying Rha! rocks go there etc, I think I have seen my name come up maybe once in a thread about places to shop... not like I am a big well known seller or anything I am sorry you took it as an attack at you. It was in no way an attack on you. I won't delete the post as too many folks like to make digs at folks who delete posts, so I am going to make it a habit to not delete posts, and only post things I will not want to delete. my comments stand, I feel the way I do, can't change that, and as I said.. if someone wants to say my stuff sucks and say it without hiding, then sure, I will accept that The only thing that bothered me about that specific post I asked about awhile back, was because it was done annon... nothing more. _____________________

Uh, you are...just like Rha and I are allowed to disagree. \what are we disagreeing about? and I am getting the feeling that Fand is right, we don't have a right to our opinions just because I was the first to post that I do not like stiletto, I am the one that is being picked out... that is not right. I only quoted that specific post because it referenced stiletto and did make mention of them being pricey edited to add... ohhhhhh I get it now, fand and faithless like stiletto ann and I do not, therefor we are disagreeing with fand and faithless LOL sorry brain is sluggish today _____________________

Ann always says bleh (Honestly, I just don't get it. Their construction is nice enough, but I don't see anything so special about them that people should be not only willing, but EAGER to be - in my opinion - grossly ripped off for them.) _____________________

\what are we disagreeing about? You and I are disagreeing with the pro-Stiletto Moody team...and, yes, trying to make someone feel bad about expressing their opinion by claiming they're trying to keep (the figurative) you from expressing yours does seem a bit hypocritical. I think we should just set up a cage match and get it over with. ![]() _____________________

Their construction is nice enough, but I don't see anything so special about them that people should be not only willing, but EAGER to be - in my opinion - grossly ripped off for them.) They just suit my feet I guess...they fit really well..and boy ive boguht so many pairs that dont for around the 250-300 mark that I end up ditching...i try the demos but they just dont look so good when i get them "home" lol Stilletto Moodys, I just know they will fit even the ankle straps and laces etc that on other shoes disappear into my legs when i move , dont on these shoes...Im not crazy wild about the footsteps thing but you can turn it off...the AO ive never used either...sure Id still love them if they were 100L a pair its not because they are more Lindens than any other pair ive owned...but different strokes for different folks ![]() _____________________

reposting with some clarification because I think faithless misunderstood that one part had no bearing on the others, and I hate to think that faithless thinks I am dissing her or doing something to be hurtful to her. I like and respect you faithless and would never want to do anything to hurt you intentionally or unintentionally
I hope you can accept my apologies, I just merely wanted to put a different viewpoint out there for folks. (I kept trying to figure out why you thought I was saying stiletto sucks, so I will break down the post and hopefully it will help clarify it) I am not good with words, I mess up a lot. ok this part pertained to stiletto, and I am not saying stiletto sucks, I am just saying they are over priced and why I feel that way... "Stiletto moody is more than a little over priced LOL I could not believe the prices when I was there, and personally did not find the stuff all that great pretty at a glance (but I tend to zoom in and inspect closely) and stuff not lined up all that well, and for that price, I would want nothing short of perfection and no demos, WTH is up with that??? at that price I would at least want to try it on, hell even RL you get to try the shoes on first!! heh" Then this part pertained to the op's question as to fav places to shop... and why I feel that way too... "as for fav places to shop, I do not shop anymore, except the rare occasion and usually when I pop into somewhere and something catches my eye" make my own stuff, easier and cheaper LOL Then this part was sort of pertaining to the prices that Stiletto charges and putting it into perspective from a builder/designer point of view. "edited to add... at the prices SM has out there, one can purchase well done sculpt maps and make their own shoes and have them just how they want them "_____________________

They're pretty hideously overscripted and, price aside, the styles really don't appeal to me either. *shrug*
Maybe we should do mud- or baby oil wrestling instead...I'm sure we could sell tickets and raise some shoe fund money. _____________________

Its going to get to a point Rhaorth where people are just too afraid to say anything to you about anything beause youll say they are picking on you etc etc and then we will all have to sit through another 20 posts of people saying they arent and you saying they are. And for the record *I* have mentioned your store in these forums as good for socks. edited to add, you dont need to appologise to me at all, im not offended about anything or upset or miffed etc...and iam so out of this post im not being suckered into breaking down post to the smallest degree...Iam good to go! _____________________

What fantasic boots, i want loads of pairs, like now !!!! But anyway, two of the owners where there and made me feel so welcome and relaxed, no group invites or landmarks as you walk in, just pure and simple good help, company and chat. Some other shops could take a a big leaf out of there book! I ending up with a fantasic pair of thigh boots, and they are great, some of the best boots on sl. So detailed and fit great, cant u tell i love them already!!!! Never been before tonight but i have a feeling that i will becoming a great customer of theirs in the future. Thanks for the recommendation. Now on to the other shops on the list.................................lol - need a great clubbing oufit to go with my new boots. |

Last night I was bored so I went for a walk. I came across a shop that had some nice animations in a pose stand out front...so I looked up the creator and tp'd to their shop, intending to buy some poses.
Heh. When I got there I found the most TO DIE FOR suede boots! I couldn't choose a color and ended up buying a fat pack, my partner is still scowling!!! Anyway this place is definitely going on my faves list!! Maitreya for boots from now on ![]() _____________________
