I think I am going to go make an ALT named Mohommad with a long beard and turban. Then take him to the most disgusting sex areas to be abused. If someone doesn't like it, they can IM me for my RL info and come do something about it in person. You are truly a braver man than I. I really don't think that would be a good idea. |

There are plenty of Mohammad's in SL, some of them are even religious and Islamic and yet, there's no fatwa against them is there. Try and work this out, take your time now. |

The only reason SL has not been attacked on every news channel in America is that the fundamentalist islamist have no idea that is is going on. I wont be the one who starts it. |

But what is serious here and this I would seriously like to find out without actually doing it myself is what would be the reaction if someone created a new avatar and named it mohammad. The avatar is a cartoon character and the person behind it is real. ??? Why don't you ask the 313 avatars found in Search whose first names are or include Mohammad - and the 204 that spell it Muhammad? Oh, and ask if any of them go around as a teddy bear. |

I'd say roughly half of my friends AND customers are Muslim and they're incredibly polite and decent people. I am so incredibly offended right now that I wish I was speechless. _____________________

You must not read the news very often. The cartoonist that had a faqua (unk spelling) put against for drawing a picture of mohammad. A place where residents can ask the advice of other residents on SL-related issues. Posting a thread only to see the reactions is not only against the forum rules, but also takes up space that might be used more fruitfully for a real question. Following your original post up with posts that only make matters worse, suggests to me you may wish to return to watching until you have a real question or contribution to make. This incensed certain factions, which were of the opinion that naming a stuffed toy after the Prophet was disrespectful. There are extremist nuts everywhere. And I apologize to Mr. Beerbaum for stooping to namecalling. His "ha ha I was only jokin' witcha" post just lit my fuse. _____________________

I want to lease property to clients in SL. I have been approached by several people wanting to know if I would rent them property. I would like to see if this would be good for me but I have a couple of questions. First: At least one of the people interested is less than I would expect to make a good neighbor. I base this on his manner of speaking. Is it against the rules of SL to discriminate against someone I feel is inferior? Second: Am I required to tell this person why I dont want to rent to him or can I just mute him? Note to self: Upon loggiing in world look up Enjuan Beerbaum and in his profile under "my notes" make note of what a jerk he is.... _____________________
