From: Patasha Marikh This isn't about getting notcards when you land or enter, but notecards with purchases. Thanks, Patasha, couldn't have figured out what the thread's about without your help.

I delete virtually every landmark I receive, whether it comes in a box or some via some other method. They annoy me. If I want a LM, I'll make one, and I've NEVER not been able to find a shop at a later date using Properties to navigate to the creator's profile.
Oh, and the creators who include LMs to all of their satellite stores and/or ones for their friends' shops need to stop it right the f*ck now.

lol, I just hate opening a box and finding four landmarks and three notecards (only one of which may actually have practical value) in there.

From: Patasha Marikh Just wondering, in RL do you quit shopping at stores who put their addresses on their sales receipts? Oh put a card for the store in your bag? Or if you do delivery food do you quit ordering from a place that puts a menu in the bag?
Is clicking the decline button really that traumatic for you?
I can't tell you how many times I was more annoyed when I've cruised around shopping in SL, bought something, unpacked it later, found I really liked it and wanted more like it (shoes for example), not remembered the parcel where I bought them, finding no LM in the box and the maker not listing their store in their profile, then having to trudge over to the website go into my transaction history to locate the sim. I would much rather take a chance with upsetting the rare reactionary in SL who is running around just looking for something to be offended by, because most likely they will never buy from me again, than I would be losing repeat business because someone who liked my store couldn't find it again. In RL they either give me the receipt with my change, or put it in the bag with the purchase. They do not drop it on my head and have it follow me all over the place, obscuring a corner of my vision until I click "keep" or "discard". If you are using the 19.1.1(4) viewer and above, the SURL of the places you have been to will be in your chat history. Every time you TP to a new place, the chat logs the SURL of the place you've just left: "Teleport completed from..." If you don't log chat, well, as you said, there's always the transaction history. The point here is not that I don't want sellers to include LMs with their products... the point is that there is A BETTER WAY to include the LM than to have a script drop the LM on the buyer. If they package it in the box with the product, I have no issues with that. There are often many ways of doing things, why choose a way that many people here have already said they do not prefer? That is called being stubborn and unwise.

From: Patasha Marikh I do not believe you have every shopped at my store, if so you would realize I don't give LM's with purchases. I do the box thing. It's bloody annoying to read a popup? It is really reading like you look for reasons to complain. I'm sorry, but why don't you just accept them and later at your convenience sort your notcards by date and delete all the new offensive notecards you received that day. I would still find that less annoying to delete 3-4 duplicates than not receiving one to begin with and have to dig for 10 minutes to find the store again. accepting the landmarks opens them when you receive them. i too would get annoyed if i had to keep declining/closing a landmark while shopping, i have no problem closing them later when unpacking the box ( i think the landmark doesn't open if you buy the contents since you have a folder delivered to you)

A blue screen with the decline/accept for an LM every time I purchase something would get very, very, very old. I'd also be less inclined to buy a product from the person just to prevent it happening. I like packaged landmarks, to be completely honest and that's how I also handle my landmarks. Then people chose whether or not they want the landmark and there's no need for yet another blue menu.

Obviously done to death but what the hell ? ONE LM, in the box- period- pop up LM's are annoying and obnoxious and stupid. I can read, I know what an LM thingie looks like- I would leave if they kept coming up and I am just in the mood to contribute unnecessary nonsense to a thread answered about 17 posts ago . And now back to your regularly scheduled unnecessarily redundant posts.

From: BJ Manatiso I have seen, and used, a number of scripts which provide a landmark when a prim is touched. However, I cannot find a script which provides a landmark when an item is purchased. The script(s) which do that obviously exist but I can't find them! Do I need to buy scripts which do that from a script writer?
Thanks! And BJ - many stores have the LM giver in a thumb-tack looking thing or sign or such and it normally have some hover text that says touch me for LM - if u still need it let us know- I am sure we all have one in inventory and wd be happy to drop it on you-
