If you believe the forums, LL have disabled an account on the basis of an underage AR despite

a) the account being age verified
The KB is quite clear on that point so that shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone.

---

If accounts were habitually suspended or banned without cause we would have seen several established forum regulars (here or on SLU) or otherwise well known residents point out that it happened to them personally.

Sorry, the KB (which KB) is quite clear on what? That LL's own age verification system is not regarded by LL as verifying age?

An account being "age verified" doesn't mean crap.

As been pointed out here in the past.

It is however .. LL's endorsed system.

It should therefore either mean crap to LL, or they shouldn't use it.

Except that the forum regulars are a pretty small group of people - many of whom avoid the really juicy in-world drama.

Basically Boring people who spend their times reading and posting to the forums.

(no offense y'all)

-------------------------------

We *do* have regulars who cease being regulars all the time.

And we did have at least one prominent poster who lost access to their account as recently as a few months ago.

I eagerly await the comparisons of LL's account suspensions to the TSA watch list.

Just saying.

They do have several things in common, both are run by incompetent people (the TSA and the G-Team), Both harass little old ladies for no reason (although unfortunately Prok still isn't on either list yet to my knowledge), and they are both ridiculed by the population that they supposedly serve.

In order to get the account off hold, the person with the account must provide a legible copy of a government-issued identification document (state ID, driver's license, passport, military ID, birth certificate) that clearly includes both their name and date of birth. This is the only type of identification acceptable for establishing age eligibility.

This makes me smile. :D

It's not because of the name of your group is it? "Second life championship Wrestling......"

Trademark problem?

In that case LL would just arbitrarily rename the group.
