I feel for all sl business owners. Especailly all the business that have been hit the hardest by all of LL bad decisions. When i bitch, its more for them, not for myself. At some point we all need to take a stand. I would lose alot of money, but im willing to do that for the benefit of us all. Its variety that really makes sl so different from anything else. We have to preserve this.

I don't know what it is like where you live, but my phone, cable, power etc.. do not go down on a daily basis. I like SL as well as any, but I am not going to become an apologist for the fact that they have one messed up grid as of late.
Personally, I feel that we are paying for the privelage of being beta testers. Would not mind a show of good faith by LL, such as giving a 5 us dollar credit, or 1,000 $L bonus to the premium customers. Not holding my breath. _____________________

i run 4 classifieds for different things...it adds up..dont mind at all when its all working. But its grating BIG time these last few days...
i DO recall we got a free weeks classified once when similar issues arose...maybe they will do that again? _____________________

Yes they sure do, if you ask them too. Standard procedure with my big cable provider to give credits for outages usually get a whole week even if outage was a day or two. Same with phone companies. Same here! _____________________

Well yes all that legal Jargon is there so that Linden Labs can Ultimately say "Of the 14,657+ things that could have gone wrong with the internet on the whole while you were performing your transaction..SUPRISE something did go wrong! and well it's not our fault because the sun shines out of our Asses and we do everything absolutely perfect every time. We never make an error..EVER and well we are pretty sure your problem lays with one of the the other service providers or protocols (not operated by us) or node pathways or routers ... (you get the point). Your deposited cash will be added to our own resistance is futile.

Well....think about it....does the cable company do refunds because the cable goes out? Or the phone company....or your internet provider? Nope. Well, yes, my cable company and my phone company do give refunds. My internet provider, well, I don't believe I've ever experienced an outage with Firefox or with AOL, so I have never bothered to ask for one. In the case of LL though, even if it is something covered under their TOS, that they would be liable for, they tend to drag the service back up even if it is totally limping, just to never hit that 24-hour mark. As for Classifieds, they did once give us an extension on them, I forget exactly for what reason - but mine have renewed on a different day than they used to ever since because of that time. coco _____________________

Imagine how much money the poor campbots are loosing.......... Imagine if they decided to pull the plug on the grid tomorrow and pack up and walk away... I highly doubt anyone would get a refund. Just like with the 4 airlines that poof'd in the night. Stranded travelers with nothing they can do. Except that is, buy a ticket form another airline. |

Well some business owners here feel it is their right to be refunded for the potential customer sales they lost as if LL had assured them that SL would always be up for them to earn a buck. Kind of self-righteous and greedy in my book.

Kind of self-righteous and greedy in my book. Not really. If SL was down due to a ISP problem, I wonder if LL will be refunded any costs? The classifieds were down for the same reasons. I can certainly understand why some are questioning that... Under normal circumstances I would say thats a risk we take. |

Used to be, if LL was down for at least 8 hours, they'd tack on an extra day to your billing cycle, but that was back in the day when LL cared about the customers and actually took customer service seriously. I was quite happy with this, but now... *shrugs* You should count yourself lucky if they blog that they're having a problem at all..
