First step is to determine if it's your computer or your account. Try logging in with a different computer.

Hello, Exavier, welcome to the forums! Is "Exavier" the account that cannot log into SL? If so, that is a little odd - usually if the account is banned, it is banned from the website as well. The "cannot be reached from this computer" message often means an IP ban, actually.
LL sends an email when it bans, but sometimes it gets eaten by your email's spam filter. Check your spam folders on both your email server and local email client, if you have them.
In any case, your only recourse is to speak with LL, unfortunately. If it goes on for awhile (it may be a suspension and not a ban, and go away after a few days), you might want to try to call billing instead of waiting for support. Billing has a 24-hour U.S. tollfree number (1-800-294-1067) - and, if you are not in the US, you CAN call U.S. tollfree numbers for free using Skype.
Good luck! .

From: Exavier Lupindo Coudl it be becaus ei changed IP addresses quickly? No, SL doesn't care how quickly you shift around. It sounds like your IP address has indeed been banned, but your account has not. Other behaviors, such as moving about large amounts of Lindens that may resemble money laundering, or having folks AR you for griefing, can cause you to be IP suspended or banned. LL has also been known to suspend/ban accidentally, meaning to suspend a different person. You need to talk to them. p.s. Also, if there is someone else in the household who uses SL, it is entirely possible that THEY did something that caused the IP ban. .

From: Exavier Lupindo how long do tickets take to be looked at? There is no set time for the tickets to be looked at. Have you reset the modem and router at the new location?

Exavier, do you recall what Sim you were in last?
I have a feeling there might be a ghost standing around doing nothing.

This happened to me last year, and I had to reboot my dsl modem box. Restarted it, completely and then restarted my computer and was able to get on.

Did your sister use your computer to run Second Life?
If you called once, you can try calling again. A different person might react differently.

From: Exavier Lupindo yeah i might try pressing the reset button on them though other than a hard boot... though the modem isnt exactly resettable other than pluf unplug method. is there a linden in the house! If mean you reset your router by using a paperclip and pressing the tiny reset switch, that resets the router to factory default. That means that any configuration settings you may have done earlier are lost......you'll have to reconfigure your router. It also resets the factory default password to get into the confuguration utility........that is normally "admin" but it could be different (check your manual). Plus it's not really a matter of pressing that button to reset it either........there is a sequence of things you must do to get it properly reset. For my Linksys 430N you must press the switch, wait 3 to 5 mins then unplug the router, wait 5 mins then plug it back in. If you don't do that it fails to reset plus it really screws up whatever settings you had saved. I don't know what your router manufacturer is but if it's Linksys call them........they are very helpful and patient. They will walk you through configuring your router while on the phone with you. And my router is well outside the warranty period........they still do that for you. You can also call your ISP to see if they are having some kind of problems too. Worth a shot anyway. On the time frame for a suppoet ticket to be answered I can only tell you my experience..............not long at all (like less than 24 hours). I've only put in two tickets in my life but both were quite quickly addressed and resolved. I am a premium account which may be why I've had pretty good support from LL.

this is bad.. i really dont want to actually deal with this right now... they chose a horrible time and coudl it Be somone from my neighborhood hub? I.E. somone was banned in my area. LL used a widespread ban of diff I.P. Addresses only to stop the person form logging into SL?? and I just got caught in the crossfire?
and even so I gave them My IP info and my HDD info and my Modem hex code.. shoudlent they beable to quickly take care of the matter or does LL not work on the weekends..
