It is the standard weather for this area, issued daily from May until October, with very rare exceptions: "Coastal fogs and low clouds, extending inland nights and mornings. Locally hot in the afternoons in the inland areas. Highs in the mid 70s to low 80s, lows in the 50s and 60s."

In the summer time when I was a child, I could tell that we were approaching home (San Francisco); we would enter a wall of fog. Now in Santa Cruz mountains, but it's the same.
