From: Elora Lunasea I failed math - repeatedly. Aces in everything else. Only finally passed by having a cheat sheet with me (as did half the class). Please, what is a cm = too? All I know is I'm 5'2" inworld without heels. That's taller than I am in RL. My imagination, my world. Pretty much everyone is taller than me. Cockroaches??? Now there are bugs there too? Geez. I moved out of Manhattan to get rid of those kinds of problems. Now I'm in NJ and have squirrels in my attic. Had to call an exterminator for those. And now, I've got BOTH when I visit the Hangout? As Cartman says "Screw you guys, I'm going home" . The rats and the cockroaches are making it harder for me to visit the hangout And I now see that the one picture where both Maureen and I appear, at least as humans, has the cockroaches in it. I have looked at this picture several times to examine height and didn't notice before. cm = centimeter. 2.5 cm = 1 in but again, this is the distance in the picture. Maureen is not 1 inch shorter than me in world I am slightly shorter than 7 inches in the picture and that seems to = 6 feet 4 inches. Maureen is something around 6.5 inches in the picture. So, Elora is 5'2" in world, which is also 62 inches tall. I am 6'4", which is also 76 inches tall in world. I am 7 inches tall in the picture. I think that means that Maureen is 70.5 inches tall in world, which would be 5 feet 8 inches tall.

From: Elora Lunasea But that carrying one, that's the one I want to find! Doesn't Abraminations (Abramations?) (AbrahamInMotions?)(Abominations?), have both a fireman's and a more standard carry, on the couple's wall? oh heck, it's in Devil's Moon, isn't it? However you schpelll it. And the Rendezvous is fabulous. .

From: Ann Launay Is it the Rendezvous? I have that, and it has a few carries, as well as walking hand-in-hand or with arms around each other. some dance, some cuddles, a kiss...oh, just a bunch of stuff. I can vouch for Rendezvous, and yes, you have to be someplace you can rez objects. Walking hand-in-hand, or with arms around each other, flying hand-in-hand, kisses, hugs, dances, a piggyback ride, a fireman's carry, a threshold carry....I could go on. I have one, although I haven't used mine in a while; my alt's BF got one for them for Valentine's Day, though.

I think it may be abranimations...maybe. i'll check when i get in world. This is an actual double-disk which both of you sit on and it plays this out as you walk around. we got the hold in hands one too, but that went walkies on its own i think (or at least never got auto-returned, we lost it ) I saw the ao type one where you can carry over your shoulder, drag by the hair and kick in the groin, and that was from abranimations, but i think we decided this was better. oh! and it was in Gypsy Moon - next to Devil's Moon. I decided to explore after Trout made a post reminding me of the place.

From: Isabeau Imako I don't want to go all serious but, a man once said those almost exact words to me, that women abused the power they had over men, - rant, speech, etc. Then he tried to strangle me. Too much information, I know. I'm certainly not saying you would ever do this, Chosen. What can I say, you are the ruler of your own world. No one person, male or female, is the 'ruler', or making all the decisions. No one holds all the cards in a game. Can you imagine how boring Poker would be. Gosh Isabeau that's horrible......well I noticed you have two quotes from Oscar Wilde in your sig.....he was a major sap for women.......I like those quotes too - they kinda sum up his book 'the picture of dorian gray'

Exactly how many hours ARE in the SL day, anyway?

From: Soji Slade The squirrel is kind of fun, the cat doesn't move and is sometimes overlooked unless someone keeps touching kitty to make kitty purr, but . . . I am glad the parrot is no longer on the bar, but is outside. Can we move the rats? And remove the cockroaches completely? I had forgotten about the rats. They were dropped there one of those nights when we were trying to smash the squirrel. If I set them to group, anyone can move or remove them - but since the little guys are kind of hard to catch for editing, I probably forgot to do that. I'll gather them up this evening when I get inworld - or maybe move them to run around on the dirt under the place. The cockroaches are just plain gross and definitely should be removed.

Actually, if I remember correctly, every SL day is 3 hours, followed by 1 hour of night -- so you get 6 SL days for every RL day.

From: Isabeau Imako I know. Just had an initial 'surprise' (jumpy reaction) at the words you used , and I then made totally about me... As for the OP's subject matter, I'm curious to know if women in SL feel embarrassed about asking the men here to dance. Do YOU (ladies) wait around, or do you just go ahead and ask? I'd like to think I wouldn't be embarrassed to ask, but I don't hang around in clubs. I would feel no embarrassment, if there was someone I wanted to dance with. But, I'm not one to dance, unless I really like the guy. For me, it feels very intimate so I really need to know the person well before I get on the poseball with them. Or at least, want to get to know them.

At the Hangout, there are actually quite a few of us that will ask the guys to dance - but we know a lot of those guys pretty well also. And I have asked guys to dance at some of the Jazz and Ballroom places (Phat's, Bogart's, etc). While overall I am shy in RL, I have always been brave and forward in asking guys to dance in RL places too.

Dear Diary:
Well, today is Sadie hawkins day and that Misty is really getting me down. I spent the morning pillaging up in the norther Mongolian Plains. I had some deleicious Mongolian beef, but pillaging is tough these days, what with the rescession and the price of feed for the horses. Those damn Saudis are killing us on grain prices. I'm going to have to get one of those crossover hybrid horses that runs on corn oil and scraps of paper.
Anyway, I put on all my bling. The fake Rolex watch, the silver chains, the bracelets, the belly button ring, and even the boots that make the clip cloppy sound when I walk. I wore the shirt that shows my muscles and I walked back and forth in front of her house for almost an hour and she didn't come out and ask me to the Sadie Hawkins dance. Everyone in the village is going.
So, I was pretty upset. Doesn't she know I'm the terror of the Mongolian Steppes? The Butcher of Siberia? China's worst nightmare? Heck, they put up ban lines you can see from OUTER SPACE, FFS. I think she's just playing hard to get. I'm going to attach my new prim boy parts and go parade around so she sees what she's missing. That always gets the women to swoon. If that doesn't work, I might beat her family to death with a horses thighbone, then behead them and hang their heads from spikes at the entrance to the village. My dad taught me that trick. It's how he got mom to love him.
Well, I've got to go lie down. All this bling is giving me a headache, but I know it will be worth it.
Love, Attila the Hun.
PS: Do you think I should invade Thailand? It's a long ways, but I really love Pad Thai.

Dear Attila, Not sure *why* Misty is so uninterested, because I have it on good authority that you are quite the catch amongst the Huns (so many plays on words there, the mind boggles), in addition to being such an accomplished pillager. And besides, since you are on the road a lot, that would give me plenty of time for...um. shopping. And I hear the Thai food is quite good in Thailand. Perhaps I could join you on that road trip.

From: Elora Lunasea I've seen the walking hand-in-hand, and arms aorund each other - had that one. But that carrying one, that's the one I want to find! Yes, the Rendezvous has a traditional carry in the arms (used that one at our Partnership Ceremony *smiles*), a Piggyback carry, and the newly released 2.0 has a "Fireman's Carry" with the woman slung over the man's shoulder.

I've never asked a man to dance RL or SL. (The latter is actually one of the the things that attracted my SL partner to me while other ladies were flinging themselves at him. *grins*)
