From: Brenda Connolly How long did you wait to do it? I think if you do it within a day or so you won't be charged. I cancelled my account last year, it is basic, and waited 3 weeks before reinstating, and had to pay the fee. Both were right on the verge of the 60 day full closure time frame. However, on one account, SL and paypal were having issues about the same time, which could have affected it. |

From: Warder Revestel Full scoop: One day, I logged off around 10pm SLT last night. I went to sleep. This morning, I checked into my account and found out someone flagged it for cancellation. Now it's saying I have to "pay" (which I just...) to keep my account name. Over 15,000 residents in world know me... why should I just change my name now and they won't remember me? The next day, I grew restless. How come bad things happen. Apparently this account name was flagged for cancellation on 1AM SLT (1:00 AM PST) and I wasn't even here to see it happen...  I don't want to leave Second Life!! I will return SOON! There are 15,000 residents in SL? or you just know a lot of bots?

Okay, good my account has been restored!
Special throwout to the Lindens.
And all who told me how to do this successfully!
(regarding the previous poster) - 15,000 residents only know me via my blog, Club Shiraz, located in Cicero, and multiple other sources, including Flickr, and the community here. None of these 15,000 residents are spam/bots that I know of.
(regarding the poster who said this is a hoax) - this isn't, okay? I really didn't do this alone, someone did this instead and I realized I was hacked. If I did this alone by self rule, I would have said this was a joke.
