So I've been on here now a small while but don't really know what i can do on here other than shop. I'm really drawing a complete blank. There seems too be much a female can do but what about a male avi?
I love Role play and to just chat with people.
Any and all suggestions are greatly welcomed.

There is a lot of Role Playing here - what kind do you like? Pull up the Search inworld and key in words that describe your interests and see what it displays.

Seriously, there are several threads on this forum addressing the question of what to do in SL if you are new. The place to start is in Search, at the bottom of your screen... Just pick any one or more of these searches:
"Paris 1900" "Svarga" "Greenies" "Escort Island" "Dune" "Surfing" "Airplanes" and "Skydiving" There are soooo many things to do for men and women alike. Oh, and once you've tried all those, search for "Sandbox" and think what you could add to this world to make it a nicer place  |

I would also recommend taking some classes. Look under the Events tab in the Search dialog and change the Category to Education. You will find many things to learn. Besides learning stuff, you will meet some great new people.
A few classes cost a very few Lindens, but most are free. _____________________

Some of my favorite things to do (besides shop! LOL) are skydiving and simboarding. Sim Boarding is kinda like a snowboard without the snow
You should stop by Abbots Aerodrome, there seems to always be a handful of people there jumping, and the basic parachute is free!Allysa =^.^= |

random keyword exploration is fun.
I also enjoy flying, attending live music events, hanging out with friends, dancing, fishing and generally goofing off. Building is pretty fun, too, but I'm awful at it. You can ski, surf and mountain bike at the Weather Channel sim. Formula One Racing and motorcycle racing! there's a group for both. Can't remember the name, but it's easy to find. They have scheduled races, qualifying, and entire seasons all set up. Basically, whatever you're interested in can be pursued. Just because there is a ton of shopping doesn't mean that there isn't something that will strike your interest. What are your hobbies in RL? Find them in SL. _____________________

When I had the same questions as you do, I found that all you have to do, is open up search, got to places or groups, type in absolutely anything at all that might be of interest to you, and you will find many others that enjoy similar things.
