in seriousness, yes, they are, but its a grey area, there is nothing in the TOS aggainst it
lifechurch.com in okalahoma city has a whole sim, that streams the services into SL from the tv cameras thats used at said evengelical church, also streams said serrvices via the web,
NBC news did a whole report on it, its nice, but, i wonder how many times it gets greifed,
if you ask me, i play SL to get away from religion and that crap, not to worship by wearing some poorly made animation. yes i said poor,
however, the report was done back when SL was just a small blip in the media's mind, this was before the scandal, (even that has escapped the medias mind, the media is now focssing on the marketing advantages it has, FINALY!)
