BACK TO THE QUESTION:

Larax, if you're still reading, by "kinda like Gor", did you mean you're interested in forest combat RP, only between Gods?

If not, what sort of RP activities were you interested in doing?

If combat, you need to pick a combat system for everyone to use. You might like the system called SpellFire, which is used in quite a few medieval and fantasy sims. Weapons with a primitive look, spells, foods, replenishment, the usual type of HUD statistics for health and damage.

Then a space -- really you should get your own, once you get your RP worked out. In the meanwhile, perhaps talk to Harald Pinion about renting or borrowing a section of his medieval sims to get started.

The thing with mythology is, that you're going to need some forms of intercourse if you want to fill up a pantheon with not only a handful of gods, but also demigods, half gods, etc.

However, you could also investigate a bit into the Books of the Fallen by Steven Erikson, where not all gods start out as gods, but a good amount of them start out by humans or other scentient species "ascending". Some ascend to god-status, others ascend to a state of madness. But all of them ascending into something more (powerful?) than what they once were.
I'm still pretty amazed that no game creators bought his "mythology" to base some new game on, it'd be usable for a wide range of games, from shoot em ups to RPG's.
