Emuna helps Jessy down from the platform as she walks away from the podium after giving a fantastic speech. As a crazed "furry-hater" runs up to attack Jessy, Emuna flashes her automatic weapon which is resting at her hip waiting for a sucker to get stupid. The hater runs off like a coward.
I RP on Babylon6 and a new race was created for furries. I commend Dannon, the creator for basically giving the finger to those that said they would never come to the sim if furries were going to be there. Traffic has been amazing, so their presence was not needed.
My goodness. Intolerance is so stupid.

The only time I came against any intolerance was when I took mind to hop around welcome areas, or run into the traveling group of three wannabee griefers. And even then it is so easy to deal with them as they are typically slow, self-centered thinkers. :3 You will find that for the most part, furs are in of themselves very tolerant folk, being that even the predators and prey species commingle amiably. If you are a non-fur, that's cool - we welcome any and all for the most part. We stick to the golden rule pretty well of treating others as we would like to be treated in turn. But that is not to say that we are a perfect group - far from it. There are some real stinkers out there that will wear a furry outfit and grief all day long, regardless of species, race, color - etc. So they try to burn the candle at both ends. Luckily I am a lab rabbit and well versed in HAZMAT and fire extinguishing equipment. Nothing puts a stiffer chill on their act than a little verbal CO2 hosing. ;3 Cheers all; and to happy coexistance for all!

Well back when I was 'young' some places I went would have random griefers. Then the whole /b/ tard invasion thing attacked a feww of the furry places I went. But realy out of a random newbie in the sl outside of furry places never got griefed and can can't the times i've been called names for being a furry. And realy it is only newbies that do it. After someone has been in sl a few months the 'live and let live' sinks inot them. And not going to furry places helped to.
And furry 'only' places are drama pits because as we like to say 'furs. We know drama" ;p

From: Alice Katayama The most common thing I run into when wearing my "Neko look" (not full fur but plenty close for most people) is the desire of some people to "own" me. Most of the time if I get questions about why I look that way I tell them "Because I want to" and that has always been good enough. Ironic. I had someone I respected a lot until recently tell me that "If I had been a Neko before we would not have been close". I only have the ears and tail now and then (after a LONG period of not playing ball because so many people had done it in the meanwhile). I was pretty gobsmacked - a lot of my friends had teased me, for sure, knpwing I am stubborn so they were surprised. But this guy ... Actually that made me question a lot of things - and I said "so a couple of attachments make me so fundamentally different that we would not have been friends" and he said that yes, a couple of attachments would genuinely have made all the difference. The main thing that I thought after that was "Do I want to BE friends with you anyway?".

I personally love furries. They are some of the best roleplayers on the grid. The rest of the world doesnt know what they are missing if they dont have one as a friend.

I still see 'em as people w/ "cartoon avatars"...doesn't bug me at all. If I run into "yiffy", or any other porn/content I don't get into, I just go somewhere else. *shrugs*

The main thing that I thought after that was "Do I want to BE friends with you anyway?". Thats is one of the Best reasons I can think of to have at least one fur look, and several skin colors in your inventory... I too had a "friend" get very turned off when he saw me in one of my many looks, and I thought that the skin in question was worth every linden right at that moment.
