Okay, this has been going on for a while now with nothing done about it!
I am sick and tired of fighting the neighbor about his 'camping bots'. A mainland sim only holds 40 people at a time. I rent 1/2 of Skutter and have people complaining all the time that they can't get into my mall due to the sim being full. 99.9% of the time there are 29+ little green dots on the map on the sim and prolly 1-4 of them are on my land.
On the lower right corner of the map (Skutter) are where the dots are showing up, and when I went to investigate I found 30 camping chairs full of nothing but Bots! I im'd the owner of the chairs asking him nicely to remove some of them as to not take up all the parcel resouces, that was a month ago. Nothing was done! Now there are more bots not only on the chairs, but just standing around!
The icing on the cake happened last night when I went to purchase a few items for my mall and couldn't get back on my land due to it being full and had to wait till someone left to enter....now I think that would piss off anyone, don't you?
I have put in ticket after ticket complaining about this with no results! Isn't there anything I can do about this problem??? Even the owner of the land put in a ticket and got no results....someone please help!

The owner of the land isn't the one that runs the bots? If so, why doesn't he/she do something about this personally instead of creating tickets? (LL doesn't get involved in resident disputes over matters like these)
Do they value the bot-meister's business more than yours? Are there other tenants affected? If so, why doesn't he/she simply establish rules regarding camping on their land and kick out the offending party for non-compliance?

You're doing abuse reports or support tickets? If you're doing support tickets, you should try an abuse report instead. If you can, show up at Jack Linden's office hour - 1PM SLT on Wednesdays ( http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Office_Hours/MG#Jack_Linden) and bug him about it. Jack owns the mainland so he should be able to help, if support/ARs don't get you anywhere.

Welcome to bot life, where a single 16sqm parcel can tie up a full sim's resources with no recourse. From: someone Even the owner of the land put in a ticket and got no results.... The owner of the land can unseat, eject and ban them all at any time along with returning the camp chairs and refusing to rent to that person again. I think this the "owner" is not doing what they can to help you for whatever reason. I am sorry this is happening to you. If the LL will do nothing (and they won't) what do you think we can do? I have a feeling the ad farm extortionist are finding a new tactic.

LL can do something, and has in the past in extreme cases like this. By all means, abuse report this. Explain that you have asked the other land owner to make reasonable accomodations, but has refused to communicate or change. if you do indeed own 1/2 a sim, then you should be paying >US$150 in tier, yes? This also means you have access to concierge-level support: contact then an see what they can do as well. I would also suggest the Governance office hours, perhaps more than Jack's. He is currently in the midst of all the ad farm changes an might not currently have the time or wherewithal to do much on this. :-/ At any rate, best of luck. In a worst-case scenario, well... there is a lot of land out there right now, and maybe you can find a deal somewhere else. Might be hard to move the land you currently own, though.

I think this the "owner" is not doing what they can to help you for whatever reason. The owner of the land I rent is a whole other person than the owner of the land the bots are on...of which I have contacted also. The sim I am on is owned by a few different owners, my landlord owns 1/2 of this mentioned sim...the other 1/2 of the sim is owned by others. So my landlord can't boot the bots, chairs or ban anyone from that part of the sim. And yes, we have put in abuse reports also...again, nothing done about it.

Wow...if AR's aren't working, I'd shop for a spot on another sim.

Adds another update after a bit of caffiene and a reread
I see that you're renting that land. Ask the landlord to rectify this situation (as above, abuse reporting, concierge support, etc.): barring resolution, find a better place to rent from, or buy some mainland and go that route.

Imo, you're route is to get your landlord to deal with it. S/he is a concierge customer so s/he can easily start out with live chat, and maybe have something done on the spot, especially since s/he has already ARed it. That sort of thing gets bot runners a bad name

If Yosef (in post #4) is correct in the guess that this is a new tactic by the ad farm extortionists----as in 'if you don't want 40 bots camping in your sim, pay L$60/m for this land'----I'd think that Jack might very well be interested. The issue (extortion) is the same; only the tactic differs.

From: Marianne McCann Hmn... I had not thought about that. Good catch then, if its the case. wow that is scummy. You know thinking on that, that is more likely to get Trafficbots outlawed than the other reasons those of us don't like them. If it becomes a common practice anyhow.

From: Ponsonby Low If Yosef (in post #4) is correct in the guess that this is a new tactic by the ad farm extortionists /me wonders at the sanity of whoever came up with that plan.

From: Meade Paravane /me wonders at the sanity of whoever came up with that plan. Its kind of brilliant in a scummy way. ------------------------------------------ They know LL doesn't do anything about Trafficbots. They know the resulting high traffic will help them sell ads .. AND the Land Extortion is a *bonus*

Good point. (If so, it will be proof that something good can come from something scummy....) ^_^

From: Colette Meiji Its kind of brilliant in a scummy way. LL does indeed take action on this stuff.. There's even a new abuse category for it: Disturbing the peace > Unfair use of region resources. Doing this is SO blatently extortionist and easy to spot that I almost find it hard to believe. LL could, I'm sure, take 20 minutes and whip up a script to find people doing this automatically - any <=128m2 with over 1000 traffic = really stupid extortionists. I encourage all ad farmers who are looking for new business models to switch to this one.

*gulps* The only reason they would not do it? It takes L$ to pay those campers, even if it's a miniscule amount.

I think the ad-farmers tactics switch is barking up the wrong tree. There is nothing in the OP's post to suggest that something like that is happening. It sounds an awful lot like 'reds under the beds'.
