Hmmm I really don't like rolling back drivers but I'll give it a shot.

I have an alt. Why is my alt not affected?

exactly the same happens to me
I just posted a new thread, before reading this one

When i try to put on a jacket (bought or made myself) all my clothing turns white.
It only happens with jackets, not with pants, tops, shirts, skirts
Cant't be my computer because same thing on my laptop.
And only with my main ava, not with my alt.
Supplied a ticket, got an answer : run a caracter test, etc. I did all of that but the problem stays.
I hope somebody on this forum can help me. Thanks

Hmmm...nVidia Geforce 9800 GTX with driver v.7.15.0011.779 . I guess there is a fresher one out.

What happens if I alter the head_hair.tga file on my hard drive?

Rhaorth, what's a bald base?

Oh i loaded 1.78 and no change. :(

bald base is a hair with no texture on it (system hair, not prim hair)

Tanstaa

A few days ago i had a similar issue with the textures. I discovered that some of my clothes were borked up, the pant, jacket and shirt layer were affected the most - for example when i was wearing a jacket it seemed that i was wearing white pants. It took me hours to figure out what's wrong with it, then my friend suggested me to delete all my SL files, and reinstall it, but it didn't help untill somewhere in the forum posts i saw a comment which gave me a hint. Seems like tha latest Nvidia driver has a serious texture issue, so i decided to roll back to the previous one, and it helped! Everything is back to normal now, phew.

Solution!

Ok guys, my dear friend Leona Upshaw found the solution for me. I just tried it and it works without me having to roll back my drivers:

Make sure you see advanced next to help at top of screen, if not hold down ctrl alt d,
then:
Go rendering-> Features and uncheck palletized textures

Then do a rebake and should repair it: Character -> Rebakes under advanced menu.

Oh and one more thing, you may have to do this each time you log in till LL has it solved.
