As fpr vanishing threads I have seen entire threads go poof. I figured it was great forum
mystery.
Yet one's i started when I want them to poof I can't figure out how.
There has been several post of mine, etc that vanished I don't remember deleting them.
I thought maybe I had accidentally.
As far as naming names I have been bit confused because we mention names of business that we recommend all the time.
Yet I do get why one wouldn't want it here.
Imagine every other thread someone saying FD or so his alts are making everyone Ruthed, pages and pages of threads like these?

I can't remember exactly which rule it comes under, but you will get your posts locked and edited if you do it, and that's all that matters.

Do people know this? or are they just pretending they don`t?

Can someone point me to the rules that say you can't name names on the forums? The closest I can find is:

moderators will have the option of:

editing aggressively offensive personal attacks to remove those statements that violate the community standards (with an accompanying statement explaining the violation and reason for edit), please note language, such as "fraud, liar, cheater, griefer, troller, jerk, scam artist" etc is strongly discouraged, but will not be removed.

Well that doesn't say not to name names at all!

im with Conan in the opinion that this is no more than an excuse to find a work around the rules.

it has been pointed out numerous times by colette and a few others that it is a ToS violation and a Community Standards violation to name names in any post. if there is a case of fraud there are other avenues to persue. a few posts are basically just a "i'll slander your name til i get my way" thing. but there is no faster way to get a thread locked than to name names, other than pullin a beckin.

as for others besides Strife, having the power to close threads? no way, other than the ones posted at the bottom of the forums first page, can lock a thread; unless the original poster of said thread deletes thier posts, and anyone who replied deletes theirs. other than that you are just being argumentative and churlish.

now who gots pie?
