*evil eyes Des* I have a nice big house that I don't actually live in. I have a public hangout cave that nobody visits. I have a little forest to relax in that I don't have time to use. I have a skybox loaded with sexxorz stuffs that has cobwebs in the corners. I have 3 additional parcels in my home sim that sit unused. I'm nearly out of prims and want more

I constructed what I think ( and others seem to support me in this) is an Incredibly beautiful Jazz Club. Currently I'm Borrowing land from a friend to Open it, But eventually i would like to place it on my Own quarter Sim and have people Visit to Just relax, and Enjoy the Music. I've had it Put up like this a Few times before, But Each time, Just before Opening night, the land has been sold, Traded, or just Vanished, and I've had to Put it all back into Inventory again.
I would just love to have land all my own, so i wouldn't have to worry aboout that an more.
Angel.

My Partner and I have made an art gallery home(s) which have become our own MOMA or Tate. I love it. All with art we have purchased across SL.

I get land, build up into a theme I want to explore (rarely anything grand, simple stuff. Then I get bored and sell so I can build elsewhere with another theme. Currently obsessed with forests and a little stream flowing through it. I'll keep building on that until I get bored again and then move on to whatever strikes my imagination.

My home is a 512 roadside plot with a skybox. On ground level I have a tree with a tyre swing and a few wild flowers. I try to leave enough spare prims for somebody to rez a vehicle. I also have 8192 in a fairly ugly neighbourhood. It has unprotected access to linden water (which means it has a pond at the moment - if I get nicer neighbours it has the potential for access to a huge lake). This parcel is sort of between projects and what I mostly do is terraform it over and over again. I have found I love terraforming and find it really relaxing - I feel like Slartibartfast with his fjords Here's some pics of landscaping I did on my OpenSim. If I could afford a whole sim I'd do something like this (perhaps with a few prim sheep) ...

I live on a homestead sim. Right now I have a beautiful home on the water, with and underwater grotto underneath it. I have been forced to move several times, but I think I finally found some people I can trust. *crosses fingers* It's offshore, and disconnected from the rest of the estate. It's not very lonely though, as I tend to have lots of parties.

From: Shu Zemenis I'm thinking if i should buy a piece of homestead for myself before the july tiers raise, but haven't decided yet cos i don't know what i should do with it, haha....
Do you own land, and what do you mainly use it for? My partner and I own about 7000sqm on mainland, and I keep my eyes open for any plots being put up for sale as I could still own 600 sqm more before tier goes up.. I like to do a wee bit of landscaping now and then, we live above ground in our skygarden, build stuff together and just have fun with it. Our latest project was a small paddock after getting horses.

Movie Themes

I have a quarter sim in a private estate, which I use to re-create movie settings. Currently it's "Apocalypse Now." Check it out if you'd like, at The Unknown Country.
I also have a bunch of 512s that I bought up on the Mainland, and then sell to individuals who are premium members for L$512 each, with the understanding that they will keep their own 512 as a park-like setting. All the small parcels are contiguous, so it creates a rather large park that represents several different interpretations of what the word "park" means. An interesting melange. It's just an effort to beautify part of the mainland at little or no cost to a group of park loving individuals.
If you're interested, let me know, I have three 512s left. The catch is that you have to be a premium member, so you can carry it tier free, and that you agree to sell your part of the park back if you tire of it. It's a nice little community, mostly I just hang out there to talk to people.

Um, you cant buy a homestead sim unless you own a full sim right?
My full sim I use has my store 2 live music venues and 4 rentals and my building skybox....
My homestead has my partners and my castle and is a forest.
I'm usually in my skybox so.. dont enjoy what I have as much as I would like..
I really love my sim and what I have done with it, it might not impress everyone but I shocked myself I could do it.
BUT I am always looking for places I can drive my boat or motorcycle in.. Not much of a car driver in world myself... But.. WOuld love to find a place with a course.

From: Tarina Sewell Um, you cant buy a homestead sim unless you own a full sim right? Correct which is unfortunate because many would like to chance to pay LL tier for them instead of paying rent to someone else.

From: Gabriele Graves You have over 2 sims worth of land on protected water way? Or do you mean 12,000sqm? This caught my eye because, as a matter of fact, I *do* have almost 2 sims worth of land on protected water. We're building a nice little seaside village styled after a mixture of beach houses on the US gulf coast and town buildings on the Mediterranean. The tale grew in the telling. It started when my SL partner got bitten by the sailing bug. We searched around and found a nice 1024 on protected water. Needed more space; added an adjacent 960. Wanted to keep the place pretty; picked up more parcels. Then more. Built a nice big house. Then the entire region next door suddenly came up for auction... She and her entourage love to dance, so she built a community center with a dance floor on the roof and a couples dance ball with lots of very romantic dances. Now she's bitten by the building bug. Haven't been sailing in weeks. (I spend a lot of time cleaning the barnacles off of her boats.) We like to keep the place open. Keep it pretty for neighbors and build onto their themes. Dig channels to the protected water so they can sail from their homes onto the Linden oceans. Try to justify palm trees so far north on the map. (It's the geothermal vent, y'see...) We have a few beach houses for rent, but really, the whole point is that though we are neither very good nor very fast, we're having the time of second lives! If there's a theme to all this, it's this: Follow your heart.

Ok, I know I'm leaving myself wide open but you folks really need to ask if this is how you want to live your lives, I mean really streams, rivers, fishermans cottages, paddocks for horses lol. It's just graphics on a computer, get a grip, have a wash and get yourselves outdoors and feel the sun on your faces.

I live on a homestead with my lover,we live on our yacht which is quite big and has more than ample room. We have a lovely garden and roads around the island, where we race our cars, the road leads to a high mountain road. We have an intan couple ball with remotes all around the island so we can dance wherever we want. 2 helicopters which came in handy exploring Zindra,we tried the cars there but it was impossible with all the sim crossings.

Everyone has a right to do and live as they please, why are you on SL if you feel that way, For me it is a way to get together with my lover ,i live in canada, she lives in the UK,SL is a perfect place for us to get together Everyone has their own reasons to be in SL,whats yours? SL is hugely popular, your only limit is your imagination, Your being silly telling people "have a wash and get yourselves outdoors and feel the sun on your faces" You make it sound people get up in the morning,go on SL till bedtime,i spend about 3 hours total a day on SL,the rest of the time is doing RL stuff, Non of us need to "get a grip",live your own life and stop telling others how to live theirs.

I am still trying to figure out what to do with the land I have. So far it is a public park, with picnic benches, snacks and a big movie screen.
If anyone would like to visit and offer suggestions let me know.
