Just one of those spooky days, I guess!

I was surprised earlier to see posts by a couple famous av I hadn't seen here is quite a while (the cartoon dog and the particle wizard). Of course, necroposts. Ah well.

hmmm , is the goverment owning banks a good thing?. Of course I am a merchant builder whose biz is selling created items at my yard I have built up over 4 years and I feel somewhat marginalized :-). Even though the Fhelzgud's free public yard sale supports 16-20 contributors a week we do not have anything on x-street and have no budget to compete, couldnt imagine Fhelzgud on splash log in page lol :-)

Maybe with all the recent changes and the forum change to the blog its a good thing to revisit and see if any views have changed since the first time round :)

Can anyone explain how this works?

Sure. It's called "Necroposting."

NO.

First of all, that OnRez was bought, only to be shut down later, signals LL's intent to remove any competition from this venture.

Second, LL will increase the fees XStreet users currently pay to sell stuff on the service, I'll bet dollars to donuts. Colossus Linden said:

Third, and this is the part that really gets me, is that LL, who collects money from me for premium membership and tier already, now wants money for selling items *I* create on *thier* grid.

XStreet and OnRez benefit us greatly, without LL's involvement. This move is beneficial to NO ONE except Linden Lab.

Ghosty must be psychic.........read post no.2 of this thread.

How true this has become

So, someone is actually making a yard sale work? No one's gamed it?

I'd like to use some land while I have it, to benefit those in SL who could use a few spare Lindens by getting rid of their old inventory. (Legally, of course.) I could use some pointers.

I haven't heard of Fhelzgud, but I am glad they made a go of it.

From what i understand, once LL is done adapting the site to their takeover, you won't need to "deposit" L$ from in-world ATM's to use it on xstreet. Your full L$ balance from in-world will be available as soon as you log in to the xstreet site.

That's a much better way. Of course, I'm sure it was done to avoid any cut the terminals took...

But I will likely be withdrawing all L$ from XStreet very soon, on principle.
