I just started day before yesterday, I've never played an MMO before so I've been exploring and getting used to everything. this is the kind of stuff I'm used to (message boards) and believe it or not there are still Textbased MMO's out there. lol!

When something is considered to be text-based when talking about MMOs it usually means that the environment is mostly text and not graphical.
It does not mean that a graphical MMO cannot have text but that the majority of the interface is graphical.

Seriously, though --- my advice to new residents: Stick with SL, it's worth it.
