being a guy I don't put too much thought into shopping. I got about 4 shirts and 3 pairs of pants that I wear. I prolly need an SL make-over. Sounds like a great show you can pitch to the SLCN--they are looking for show pilots all the time. Second Life Makeover! _____________________

I read tutorials and plan things I want to build, then log on, read my IM's and go dashing around grabbing all the 'one day only' group gifts.
Those need to be organized and tried on, which usually results in a really sweet outfit, which I have to go show off.... I made it to the hangout a few days ago-I was in my 'casual wear' too, but most everyone else was either a tiny or a creature of some sort, so it was kewl. |

and then just sit in your house when you get home? Seems to happen to me all the time. My goal today is to visit the Cartel Hangout, but I know it won't happen. nope never tell myself I will visit places and not go, I just kinda go where the winds take me went to the hangout a few times, was empty or only a couple ppl there, not much talk etc (and please no one tell me I have to talk, if I want into a silent room I am not gonna start babbling to empty air) I did have fun last night at the arcade though, couple folks were there, was fun!! I love hearing folks playing the games and how much fun they are having ![]() That makes it all worth having it there (with the games free, people can take the time to learn to play the games without spending any lindens) hehe and once I get the fishing system in I won't be leaving my land except to go to work LOL _____________________

Well, I don't sit around at home (unless someone is there with me, or I need to work on my AV or inventory) but my plans for the day often don't turn out as intended. So, instead of checking out a sim that was recommended, someone will make another suggestion, or I need to buy the proper shoes for the adventure which then inevitably leads to more shopping, or something else catches my attention in the search window etc etc. That's the worst you can do. I meant to go shopping yesterday and hit the Hangout button instead. Once there, you don't get out. You never get out. It's quicksand, I tell you. It leads to dancing. Be afraid, be very afraid. . Yep,I agree with Brann. It's like hotel california there.. |

Aww, Jackson...you don't need to feel that way. We got a dolphin who doesn't even wear flip flops, and a scrawny skateboarder dude, and another guy who always shows up drunk with his shirttail out. On the other hand, you're welcome to come along on the next Forum Shopping Trip. Hey, Claire! We haven't done a Guys' Shopping Trip. Maybe we oughtta. Sometimes I tuck my shirt in, and count me in on the guy's shopping trip. I'm with the OP. Every time I see the list of cool places that gets posted here periodically, I vow to start visiting them, but then I get sidetracked with everything I have going on and it just never happens. I finally got to Privateer Space (wonderful!), but it just seems like there's always something going on, and when I just want to relax, I end up at one of the 4-5 places that I already know and really love. Maybe I'm in a rut. Tonight, I'll go somewhere new, no matter what! _____________________

Granted I was a human with my hand stuck in a tree, but I was human (I'd show the picture, but not sure anyone wants to see said picture). Let's see, I was there as a human, Joseph the tiger, Jasmin the hedgehog, Morgoth the squirrel, Crazod the otter, Garrett the human, and Feline the human were there. Oh! And kermit the frog was hanging, dead, from a stick you were carrying around. _____________________

Right - the one where you wander around saying, "I have to go to bed, I have to go to bed, OMG! IT'S 4 AM! I have to go to bed RIGHT now. Just a couple more minutes..." Been there. _____________________

No, the guys and me sit at work and shoot dice to see who of those we're looking after gets dessert and who doesn't. Same thing with hose downs. Running a preschool is hard work. _____________________

Right - the one where you wander around saying, "I have to go to bed, I have to go to bed, OMG! IT'S 4 AM! I have to go to bed RIGHT now. Just a couple more minutes..." Been there. Yea, like something fantastic is going to suddenly happen. And for a garden buff, particularly hard to pull yourself away from. Thinking to myself "which trees can I take down in the backyard to open up just a wee bit more sunlight? Eh, go to bed"....time passes "mmm, wonder if I just trim back those lilacs maybe I can stick another flowering bush under it? Eh, go to bed"...time passes again. "Gee, I always wanted to plant some figs"...And so forth until I was literally sick to my stomach from the sheer exhaustion. ![]() _____________________

It's amazing how easy it can be to get into ruts when so many new and exciting places are just a TP away. But yes. I tend to spend about 90% of my time at about 3-4 places. I have a quite a long list of amazing places to visit. The thing is probably now half of them are no longer there or have changed sims because I compiled that list over 6 months ago.

Good thing I'm behind a closed door by myself, I really laughed out loud on that one. _____________________
