and then just sit in your house when you get home? Seems to happen to me all the time. My goal today is to visit the Cartel Hangout, but I know it won't happen.

No, I sit at work and plan what I'm going to buy later. The fashion feeds are a terrible distraction. :)

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.

being a guy I don't put too much thought into shopping. I got about 4 shirts and 3 pairs of pants that I wear. I prolly need an SL make-over.

every freakin day. I end up working on other SL stuff and don't take as much time to explore as I should.

Well, I don't sit around at home (unless someone is there with me, or I need to work on my AV or inventory) but my plans for the day often don't turn out as intended. So, instead of checking out a sim that was recommended, someone will make another suggestion, or I need to buy the proper shoes for the adventure which then inevitably leads to more shopping, or something else catches my attention in the search window etc etc.

That's the worst you can do. I meant to go shopping yesterday and hit the Hangout button instead. Once there, you don't get out. You never get out. It's quicksand, I tell you. It leads to dancing. Be afraid, be very afraid.

I'm right there with Caledric, I end up sitting around my boat or going to one of the places I hang out at and dancing while watching TV.

I recenlty got an SL job just to give me something different to do.

Thank god I'm a DJ or I might never leave my house when my wife isn't on. I counter the fact that I have no clue how to shop or dress by just wearing my dragon avatar all the time hehe. Its a cheap easy out that I need to fix.

The majority of the time I'm on Help Island.. sorting my inventory.. and planning on going to the places I read about here, I too hardly make it out.

I made a LM to the hang out a while back and clicked it by accident one night. Everyone was super friendly and dressed to the 9s, I however wore some funky shorts and flip flops. Needless to say I eased out the door to go umm shopping :D

I read the forums and slexchange at work, but being in IT I know to stay out of SL itself... although its tempting to sneak in if I see something interesting.

We once bought a company and connected them to our network only to find it was super slow... we discovered someone there was playing SL during work hours. DOH! Not good over a corporate network. ;)

Not so much. I usually save the SLURLs an go visit when I'm home IRL. Sometimes, too, I'll log in at the borin' place, but I dun do too much exploring then.

All the time I think of new SL things to do, places to visit, and things to make while I'm at work. Most of them never make it past my front door when i walk in from work, but a few have. It certainly doesn't help when anything, or nothing at all can become an excuse to go shopping :p

Maybe I will start a "Must See Monday Landmark" and every Monday when first I sign on TP to that spot and check it out.

You know the bad thing about exploring is lately I can't make one jump without my hair falling off. It makes 'visiting that cool spot' not so enjoyable.

LOL. I have a folder entitled "Places to See" with LMs and notecards, but...I hit the Hangout button, and MANY fun-filled hours later...the folder remains unopened. Until another day!

Yes :( Except for me I think of all these wonderful places to go in SL right when I'm falling asleep at night. I even have a list on my PC of places to go, things to see...but then I get in world and for some reason just don't have the "energy" to do any of it. I know sounds weird.

Last week, I had this happen. My husband was out of town and I had vowed to spend each night exploring one place I wanted to get to since it seems I never manage to fit in anything while he is home. Never did, totally got side-tracked each night in other things, such as the unnecessary shopping others mentioned.

Until the night before he was to come home. I was very tired, it was about 1am but damn, I made myself go to the Botanical Gardens nonetheless!

2-1/2 hours later I had to force myself to leave. I paid for it though. Don't know what I was thinking staying up until 4 in the morning. Didn't have to work the next day, but still it was insane.

Point being, I could have gone in the morning just as easily and gotten a good nights sleep :p

My partner and I pick a place every weekend to explore. Yesterday it was Caledon and we had a great time wandering around and visiting the adopt-a-dogs at the kennel club.

Aww, Jackson...you don't need to feel that way. We got a dolphin who doesn't even wear flip flops, and a scrawny skateboarder dude, and another guy who always shows up drunk with his shirttail out.

On the other hand, you're welcome to come along on the next Forum Shopping Trip. Hey, Claire! We haven't done a Guys' Shopping Trip. Maybe we oughtta.
