It really is a lot easier if you just don't care if you make a fool of yourself.

Almost off-the charts slutty. Shame on you and congratulations. -- Trout

I tend to be a Social Voyeur in RL as well. When in a group, especially with new people, I sit back and get a feel for things

There's, uh, probably a lot of things you didn't know about lindens. Another, another interesting, uh, lindenism, uh, there are only three jobs available to a linden. The first is making shoes at night while, you know, while the old cobbler sleeps. You can bake cookies in a tree. But the third job, some call it, uh, "the show" or "the big dance," it's the profession that every linden aspires to.

It really is a lot easier if you just don't care if you make a fool of yourself. Heh, exactly. A problem none of us seems to have. Welcome lurkers!! There's pie over on the table, beverages in the kitchen and Brenda's panties are hanging on the clothes line in the backyard next to Trout's biplane. _____________________

How fabulous is this! Welcome lurkers! Is there a way to convince you to show up at the hangout and dance and chat? That would be COOL!! And it's an easier place to ask questions if the forum is too public ... I've never seen anyone be rude there. It is an enchanted zone that way ![]() In fact, it would be majorly cool to see Mr. Bigwig there, I've never seen an HAV dance! Ah shucks. I'll see if I can make it. HAV's don't dance often, but I can always make an exception. _____________________

There's pie over on the table, beverages in the kitchen and Brenda's panties are hanging on the clothes line in the backyard next to Trout's biplane. Pie!!! mmmmmm I have always been a secret admirer of Brenda's panties. Maybe my next step would be to ask for an invite to the cartel? Or should I get Trout certified? Does this post prove I have been lurking for a long time? XD |

Or should I get Trout certified? I recommend this course of action. And welcome (says the newbie to the mature avatar)! ![]() _____________________

That's just based on the "80/20 rule" which says that in any grouping of people, 80% of the work (or in this case the posts) will always be done by 20% of the people. *looks over at post count* 20 percenter! Woot! Welcome lurkers ![]() _____________________

This was a wonderful thing to do. I always wish more folks would post to get other points of views or answers to questions. This is great.
I used to feel some distress posting in other forums and I thought putting people on ignore was somehow fascist but now I use it when I need to and it makes a huge difference. I also avoid reading threads I know will bug me. If you pick and choose, expressing yourself can be really great....and safe. I just love brave folk who push their boundaries..well done! |

Many of us are this way in RL, I am very quiet and shy. But in SL it seems to be a little easier to open up. In fact, I would say this is a large contributory reason for the phenomenon explored in the addiction thread. Isn't it strange the way we get threads that touch in places .. a bit like chromosome pairs? Welcome Rosie and Sun and Cin too!! and all the Lurkers posting for the first time![]() stay away from bilbo, them hobbits are cute, but they are a bad influence ![]() Raymond is a hamster w/ crabs, this has nothin to do with the thread, just thought i'd throw that out . ![]() _____________________

Sorry to interrupt this fascinating discussion of Crabs, but I feel that I must put my 2 cents in about the original subject.
I have posted several times on these forums. Each time I had to make myself do it. It's hard for me too, but I'm so happy that I did. I have received priceless help here and warm kindness. My advice is to do it more often, ask questions, state opinions, and if it doesn't work out the way you wish it had, do it again anyway. And when you remember the responses that you received, focus only on the positive ones. /me hits send and runs away, too afraid to look.... Now back to the crabs. |
