Most here are good eggs, even when we get a little rowdy, it's usually not personal, the bitterest adversaries here usually make nice in world. I don't think any of you need to feel you're alone. I'd bet the vast majority of people who read these forums never post anything at all. If I had to throw out a guess at numbers, I'd say probably 4 out of every 5 people probably remain completely silent. That's just based on the "80/20 rule" which says that in any grouping of people, 80% of the work (or in this case the posts) will always be done by 20% of the people. And even within the 20%, the 80/20 rule still holds true, meaning that of the people who post anything at all, probably only one out of five actually post on a regular basis. Carry the rule a few generations deep, and you come up with a figure of somewhere around 50% of all posts having been written by less than 1% of the total user base. According to the stats on the bottom of the front page, there are about 847,000 total users on this forum. If my guesstimated numbers are anywhere near accurate, that means that if you're somone who posts either rarely or never, there are likely around 839,000 people on here just like you. Nope, you're not alone. _____________________
