Oh puh-leaze! Morissette was/is way edgier than Gibson. And half of the music written and played (mostly the "good" half) by women rock performers today wouldn't have been possible without "Jagged Little Pill."

I don't much care about her citizenship (she's retained her Canadian citizenship too); I'm not much of a "patriot" in the conventional sense.

(Mark Knopfler is pretty cool too)

The two women singers that can make me just melt in an orgasmic puddle with their voices are Annie Lennox and Nancy Wilson. Considering their voices are so different it must have something to do with how they use their voice and not just because of the voice they were born with.

Oh sure! My list was by no means exhaustive: just some personal favourites that came immediately to mind. Debbie Harry should be there too, and probably Joan Jett. Also maybe Johnette Napolitano.
