The guy seems to have removed all the encroaching prims by now. The rest is, to put it nicely, a matter of taste, but I don't see anything else AR'able anymore.

I recommend that the OP relocates her house way up out of sight of the ugly mess at ground level (Z=500 or so).

Yes, the guy seems to have pretty much stamped his mark on that sim, although by the time I checked it out it did not seem overly offensive (mostly SL snapshots) just a bit crass. I would suggest a move (selling at a decent price) - less hassle in the long run.

i`m sick and tired of these idiots who think they "own" sl and can do wtf they want to their neighbours, specially if they have no idea how to deal with this sort

when i went there and saw she only had 512sqm vs a larger land owner and that there was a cute lil cottage on her land and was sold not to just watch this time but lend a hand

First, Forget the land fighting with who ahs the uglier prims, and who can annoy whom the most. Not only is it a ToS/CS violation, but it's just STUPID. Let the other person be an idiot and show some intelligence and some class.

File an Abuse Report on the encroching prims and any particles comming into your land. You have no say on another's build, though "adult material", esspecially if an "ofensive nature", can not be displayed openly, even in a Mature sim. So if XXX hardcore pics are viewable from outside, then these can be reported as well.

THEN get on Live Chat. You own land so have the right. Toss the AR# given to you in the auto-reply e-mail into the conversation and ask the Live Chat Linden if they can assist. Do not rail and rant at the Live Chat. This will get you no where fast. Be civil and factual, and supply them with as much information as you can to help them. They are usually handling many chats at once, so patience is also advised.

On another related note:: LL is working on land owners being able to Return/Auto-Return prims where only a part of the prim is overhanging the parcel borders. This will not only save a lot of grief in instances like this, but will also reduce LL's time spent on such AR's by allowing the landowner the ability to take care of thier own problems.

when i lived on the mainland, i had a car stuck in my border 10-15meters up in the air
every day i sent in an AR untill i moved out and you know what? 7 months later that car is still there at the same spot, even with a couple dozen AR`s about it!

lindens don`t care about this problem, from what i know it has been a problem for years
only solution that worked was either move out of their abusive way or return the favor with a vengence and hope lindens don`t screw you over while tapping them on the back for reporting "their" issue when they are the cause of it

and here`s an example for support
had an island in the past and 2 residents had technical problems wich directly affected them with the land
filed a support ticket as it was also a sim problem
used concierge chat to try and get some one to look at it to find the cause

you know what i got? a big f`you, they should send in their own tickets even when it was directly affecting my sim and it wasn`t the only time heh

oh yea, they solved a few simple problems if i ever had an issue wich only affected my avi directly but filing it also in name of others and they tell you to simply f`off

if they are making it that you can return items wich cross over the border then i`ll say it`s about time and a good example why they should just be told what to work on instead of letting them pick their own work, this place would be abit better if LL was being directed instead of an FFA for employees to do what they want, i`ll bet AR handling is a directed task or no one would be doing it heh

If talking with the neighbor or griefer does not work, and you have exhausted all other options, I have found that ARs *alone* do not work, BUT many ARs from *many* people, then a calm objective chat with Live Chat ALWAYS works - as long as there is a valid TOS violation.

if you don`t know many people that will be hard, asking on the forums to help submit an AR about a prim won`t get many responses in game either i`ll bet

playing their game can save you a few months while waiting for a linden to wake up and help out

won`t say that what i did is right, far from it... but as the guy clearly didn`t want to go trough this, it was fixed in hours of playing his game instead of god knows how long it would have taken or her forced to move out to get rid of this problem

no amount of excuses can make up for shuving prims into another building unless they are blind, wich makes you wonder how to play in the first place...

helped some people in the past with this same problems, either i was ignored by the neighbour or i simple got a "what do you care it`s **** sqm so fuck off" replies

learned all my lessons the hard way, so when helping out on the mainland, i don`t even bother asking as that is something the owner assumingly has done allready(if not, they`re shit out of luck)

it`s to easy to give advice/comments here then actually help in game, guilty of that aswell, but a big land owner vs a 512sqm with a cute lil cottage on it, hell no, if a warning will come it will be soooo worth it now that it solved for her

if it`s 1/4th a sim against 1/2 a sim owner, i`d say move to another corner, but with a 512 you don`t have "spare" prims or room to move, not the most popular ingame regarding non business behavior so 1 more "enemy" won`t cost me 1 minute of sleep

Over the past months I have tried to get help thru live chat, never got anyone. I have a similar problem on another property I own.
I have filed dozens of "ar's" didn't reazlize what you all were talking about b4.

My neighbor would only speak to me about selling my property, he harrassed the hell out of everyone in the area. It used to be a nice place.

if he is using mega prims and they are causing lag and other such things, AR on him about that as well as the 'harrassment'. LL will REMOVE the mega prims and he will have to rebuild. LOLOL

you ened to get this guy to chat with you, so you can catch him being a harrasser.... save a copy to notecard and send that to LL as well.

also, if you have the prims.... make some ugly 10x10 walls, and put a different texture on each one... ugly stuff, but not art... pictures that look like crap upside down.... now, add a hot tub water script to each one, and they will start spinning slowly. it's raelly REALLY annoying to see and he will hate that.

of course, you'll have to make a whole new set of walls on your side to block the view, or you will see the spinning on your side, even if it's blank white.

now, go make a support ticket for harrassment and mega prim problems. you'll get results!

Isn't it odd that he moved his floors and roof off my property, and the signs from God are gone as well. I guess sl responded to his calls for help. He did take the porn off his front wall as well, still has his property inched up to everyone around him.

Not a word to me from sl or the creep... no move your signs, no apology.

I have had property in locations that don't allow this. I had a nice place on the beach on one of Ansch Chungs lands. I was there about two weeks b4 the hacker incident, then SL locked me out for 6th months because I mispelled my home land.

SL only watches out for those who pay them more..... Burkhard harrassed me for months, and all my neighbors too... didn't do a dam thing to help us.

if by any chance lindens interviened after noticing it here as they do read the forums, then i haven`t recieved a warning (expect 1 if they did) and not a message from the guy or anyone else involved with that place, guess they knew EXACTLY what could happen if they`d do it to some 1 who isn`t afraid to play the game and know the rules better then they do

if they go at it again, just revive this thread, the mega prims of yesterday were still pritty innocent compared to what is still in my virtual hat...

There were still 6 porno ads showing sometime between around 2 am on the 26th. I filed abuse reports at that time.

There's a gap in the badly make enclosure; the badly made porno ads are still visible to passers by from a different direction, in the event anyone wants to fill some idle time filing abuse reports.

What I still don't understand after almost 3 years in SL is why decent people who are just looking for a place to build their little decent dream in SL dont get together and buy/rent whole sims? that way they can rule they bastard jerks off their sim. Simple, effective, and foolproof. One person can cause great grief to everyone in a sim by building ugly sex malls, and that person succeeds because of the unlimited supply of immature sickos wanting to jerk off on bad quality porn. SO let me ask this simple question; are the simple decent people the majority or the minority in SL? If you are the majority, then the solution is obvious: cooperate in getting private sims and share the land through renting. If decent simple people are the minority in SL, then the cause is already lost, just quit SL because whatever your dream may be, it ain't going to happen. Just let the degenerate animals exploit their basest instinct and waste bandwith, eventually their tier payment will cause them to close and sell to the next porn hungry dickhead.

This has been done. Ged Larsen (I think that it's OK to name names when bestowing praise.) has done just that in Linji Heaven. However, not many take upon them the effort of on-going administration of a full-sim rental.

How come nobody has requested LL to work on a "feature" that would allow group ownership of islands and private sims, where tier payment would be distributed according to the amout of land each one owns, and the unoccupied land cost would be divided equally among current residents of the sim? seems like a simple enough idea that would make group ownership of island and private sims easier.

Also, there is a financial side to it: I tried doing something along these lines (and owned almost a full sim which I rented out). Then VAT came along and raised my costs by 20% overnight. Thus renting out is not an options for most Europeans (except VAT-registred corporations), I would presume.

Even mature sims have constraints on what can show where.

They would have some kind of constraints in fact, even if you couldn't find a rule to that effect written in the TOS or CS. All rules are enforced by people who use judgement.

For the New Year I'm starting to develop a line of attractive landscape screens expressly for 16mx32m parcels like yours with neighbor problems. One is ready now, a Japanese formal park, that might solve your ground-level problem with your neighbor, and I'll be sending a set to you with my compliments.

I know prims are a problem, but these are not too costly - For every 10m you go up you will use 2 prims per set, and you will need 2 sets because he has built along 2 sides of your parcel (since they are copy/modify making multiple sets is not a problem). Just place the ground landscape, then add cloud panels above it (there are two, which should slternate) as high as you need to go.

That happened to me- then the jerk decided to make it worse for me- Put up nasty pics.. ALL over his land they went from the ground all the way up past my sky home, He done this so he could get more prims, He offered to sell me land in a laggy sim smaller then what I had, when I said thank you, but its not what I am looking for, is when all of it started.- I decided to move, but sold the land for 3 times what it was worth- not thanking it would really sell for that amount to anyone much less that fool, I muted and banned the guy- I found it funny that he was the one who paid me the large amount on the land.

I was happy to get away from that guy and made lindens that was the only way I could deal with him,Reports were filed, but he done them things on his side of the land in a mature main land sim. Nothing could be done at that point but to move or deal with it. I picked Moving.

You need to reread from the start the owner had done all that, this has been going on for months with no Linden input, So it's fend for yourself time or would you just keep AR'ng and wasting hours trying to get Live Chat to answer for the next 5 years?
