Last year I was hounded with constant emails to sell my property by this one guy who just moved into my neighborhood. I put in a complaint and it finnally stopped. He then built a sex mall right next to me, and the floor went right into my property! I put in all kinds of reports to SL, but not one was answered.
I then raised my house really high, so its like a bird house... ridiculous but what else could I do? His building was cutting right into mine!
Now he put up neon lights.... around it... and more floors as well. I can't stand it!
I pay for this land, yet I don't have any say over it!
I tried adding him to my ban list... that would not work.
Now if I give up the land the only person who would buy my property is the creep that harassed me for months!
Any advice welcomed.........

With reports I assume you mean ARs?

For encroachment it can be faster to simply start a support ticket about it (make sure to include the name of the sim and the exact coordinates where it's encroaching onto to your land along with a general description and his name) and do point out that your attempts to talk with him have had no effect.

set the land for sale at market value *5 and see if he bites

make a talking prim and place it on the border along with some fine walls to cover up his maybe add some light to it for him to perhaps see a light (expensive 1)
could allways shuve a spinning for sale sign (the big one) and rotate it on it`s side and stick trough the border for him to admire

if lindens haven`t done anything by now, not much chance they`ll do something any time soon
play the game he forces you to play, no shame in that ;)

1) Sex malls usually don't have a long life. It will disappear eventually. Keep calm.

2) Consider relocating to a skyhouse. Somewhere at 700 meters up in the air or so.

3) If there are prims encroaching onto your parcel, issue ARs against them. But don't hold your breath for the Lindens to answer them fast. Maybe ask some friends to raise ARs, too.

4) Is it really worth the trouble? If you relocate elsewhere, it may "feel" wrong, but keep in mind that you are rid of the hassle. After all, SL is supposed to be fun , so why let yourself be annoyed? It's not that you are mining gold on the parcel.

Good luck ... and Merry Christmas! :)

Give the support ticket a try before resorting to land griefer tactics.** However the most you can probably hope for from the support ticket is they will make the guy move his prims back so they do not overlap your land border.

If you moving your house higher into the sky so you can't see or hear the mall activities is a good option, you will have more privacy and views of nice sunsets and sunrises.

Sometimes the least best solution in a bad neighborhood is to sell and move, its far less aggravating and stressful. You do want to enjoy our Second Life.

** If all else fails, griefing the buy can at least give you some emotional pleasure, but you are also then opening yourself up to AR's, which at worst would probably only get you a warning if LL ever got around to acting on it at all.

thats a good idea too. ALSO when submitting a abuse report, label it "harassment" instead of parcel. I think those are answered quicker, not 100% on that theory.

Have the members of your group (if set or grouped) AND neighbors AR as well. Give them a form letter or pre-formed message to copy/paste into the AR.

My natural instinct with people like this is to take them on in battle. Put something on your land that appears ugly from his side.

But if all else fails, put your land for sale at a high, but achievable price - like 2 or 3 times market value. Then if he buys you'll feel like you're the winner.

Put up a large screen and on his side - put picture of a church, with big flashing letters:

FORNICICATION IS WRONG! REPENT!

lol.... ok - just thinking about it at least will get you a chuckle.

Your entirely too nice. Place something on the ground below your house next to his property that he will not like. Put up a privacy screen around your property and make the side he can see black. Let him deal with the outcome of his actions for a while.

In the meantime, I'd use a combination of ban lines and auto return. Also, file an AR for EACH ITEM that goes onto your property. (Don't ban just him, ban everyone except yourself until this is resolved.)

If you don't feel like putting up with the hassle, I'd recommend selling the land to him alright.. at 10 times current market value or more. PITA tax at your service ;)

The thing is is that he is on my property, and I can't even ban him!! His things will not go back to him (on my other property this is not a problem)
He seems to know how to build on others property without having the rules affect him.
I don't think I know what an ar is, or how to build a talking box.
It is his floors that overhang into my property.

I have moved my house up twice already, and he just builds his higher.

Take a look if you like it is at Chokki 52,218.57 He shouldn't be able to do this! I can keep everyone out but him!!

looking at it and i think that with the pictures he has, you can report him for promoting child pornography as some clearly don`t look like being +18

he is going so far over the border by using 20x20x05 mega prims

for the time being, maybe move it all up to +300 meters
use at ground level mega prims aswell

AR = abuse report :)

btw, it`s her with 512sqm again 4528 of his

Hmmm l like what you said. I reported the porn (they are very young).

Can you give me a clue to mega prims? I am going to do a search... but I haven't built in years... this is new to me.

NICE ideas....I hope I'll never pi** you off as a neighbour! ;) (Right now, my neighbours are ok, but you'll never know when the next idiot moves in, and I particularly like the idea with the spinning sign...) :D

i`d suggest going to a quiet sandbox region to check them out

some of them are big, BIG and HUGE!
they are also ground for AR`s as the neighbour has used them

they were created by a loophole in the client, lindens allowed for them to remain in game under the term of no abuse
they have been handy in building to save prims and many have used them this way, hence alot of resistence of them even considerd being removed :)

that was still being nice, had a neighbour a long long long time ago wich recieved the darker side of the possibilities, she moved overnight after 2 days when i had enough of her prim war attempts :D

you can also mute objects that have particles talk on public channels etc... and I believe ignoring the owner will also

Keep sending him offers to sell at ludicrous prices going up, and make ludicrous offers for his land going down each time too, fight fire with fire, grab a couple of mega prims that rotate through his building if you tried all the LL channels without much luck, maybe it will help when he is trying to get them involved too :)
Don't use bigger megaprims than his though, don't want to upset other people in the sim

frankly speaking support tickets can give little **** about this action. filing number of tickets they have not done anything. Its so strange f a large land baron would have filed a ticket they be faster the a newbie on a money tree! Typical **** these days from support ticket people!

I checked it out and OMG that is one ugly build of a mall. I spoke with Helga too. I think she should pop her house up higher as others suggested and set up chatterboxes on the ground border and also make platforms to match each of his floors on the border and put prim boxes around them to make them harder to mute. Boxes constantly mooing, saying stfu and other things will probably cause the ardor to wane from is clients. Tbh I don't see how he can make money from such an ugly build. I'm sure there are much better builds for sex sims which draw much better legitimate traffic for consumers (of course he has set the bar extremely low :p )

Edit: Also you can make an alt, give it permissions and have it set the chatterboxes while you set the surrounding box so there is no way to identify the owner and mute the boxes :p

Sweet. Don't forget... "Virtual Adultery is STILL ADULTERY" might work too.

(Dudes, I'm SO not trying to start an argument. I just think it would be a funny thing to put up as a sign next to a sex mall, and might be something a church might say...)
