I got a really nice roll-neck from one of the forum regulars, Sally. Nice cable-knit texture, too.

I prefer Launa Fauna's jeans. Casa del Shai has some nice turtlenecks, as does Tres Blah. Not sure what kind of boots you're looking for, but it's difficult to go wrong with Shiny Things.

Shai "skinny jeans" have the salutory property of coming with a version in the underpants layer, so you can wear boots over them without them showing through.

I have a really bad feeling that I'm going to go broke by sunday. I already bought cute stuff at Shiny Things, Casa del Shai, Marlys, and some other places. I'll definitely check out these other ones mentioned too. Whee! Seasonal shopping kicks ass.

And at 65, I'm bundled up in 2 shirts, my flannel lounge pants, and my fuzzy slippers. I'm a big puss, what can I say. I bet I can outlast any of y'all at 117 though. :p

Heh-I'm freezing all the time but I feel right at home in Egypt....We once had 117 in Cairo during a heatwave, that was spectacular. I like a comfy 98, but the water in my bathtub is always at around 111.
It's 68 in front of my computer and I still feel cold.... Outside it's around 41, and I think it's freezing already.

And it only took me ten minutes to do all the calculations because I can only think in Celsius....

My kid avatar has a cozy woollen jumper from Robin Wood's Kick the Can store, I bet that also works for taller people-it looks exactly like what I'd love to wear right now (unfortunately I'm allergic to wool)

And what the heck was THAT when I tried to post?

I just pressed Submit Reply.....

Oryx, to really get into the winter spirit, you need to join the Polar Bear Club.

Take off all your clothes and jump in a frozen body of water. (knock holes in the ice first)

You can send all pictures of said event to ................

Funny memory - we used to go watch this every year at Coney Island when I was growing up, but they were all old men and women back then. Not a pretty site.

My vote for boots goes to......... Shiny Things! I got the most fantastically comfy soft leather no-heel boots from there. I lurv them! :D
As for jeans, can't help there bcause I don't wear them, and I made myself the only turtleneck pullover I own :o

I recommend the artilleri winter coat. I have an orange one and a black one. It seems that every shop is coming out with winter clothing. Try joining some of the fashion shopping groups and you'll see.

I think they still do the Polar Bear club thing out in Coney Island. Not me, baby. Get me a warm sweater and a cold beer and I'll watch it from the pub.

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.

It's finally winter in Arizona (I think it got down to 65 today) and I want to dress it! Where are the cutest winter/fall stuff, like jeans, turtlenecks, and boots?

You are not allowed to dress for winter when its 65 degrees.

People in the midwest call that "a warm spring day"

Ok, I'm in love with the little business suits at Luminosity. Thanks to whoever gave that tip.

Try Tuli, it has a lovely ensemble called 'Ana', which you can get as a freebie if you're quick ( Check out http://fabfree.wordpress.com/, look for entry dated 17th November)
Callie Cline, Last Call, Mischief are all doing nice things to wrap up warm in. To be honest I don't think you'll struggle to find cool winter clobber.
Oh, and I heartily recommend the coats and jackets from 'Artilleri'

Awesome Designs is offering a latte colored turtleneck sweater as a freebie, other colors are only $95. Adam N Eve has got some awesome boots out right now. I bought one pair - Arme for about $300 ($350?) and they have a boot called Stompi for $50 I think it was.

Bailers has tucked in jeans as a freebie that work great with boots.

Some of the Last Call/Vamp boots work well for colder weather too...they have a heel, but it's square, rather than stiletto. You might not want to take them out on the ice in RL, but there's very little slip-and-fall danger in SL. Or Arizona, for that matter. ;)

/me shamelessly takes notes of places with clothes for the cold.

It's not that cold here yet. Just grey. Well that's normal for the UK anyway.

Elephant Outfitters men's jeans fit women really well -- and by fit, they actually cover your bottom. For some reason, too many women's jeans are cut to low for my taste.

Shiny Things boots are adorable, and so are SF Designs

Sweaters -- I tend to make my own. I went and bought some knit material and made a prim turtleneck and colored it myself, but Nyte and Day has some cute sweaters.
