Where do you spend the night?

I take off my fuzzy slippers, put on pjs and go to sleep in my bed. But I notice that the place I live in is nearly empty at night. This isn't a burning question. Just curious.

I usually just log off wherever I am, and next time log in at home.

I try to return to the Home position on my own parcel before I log off, and to make sure I am properly dressed for being seen in public, if for some reason I wasn't as I ended my day. Saves a world of embarrassment over logging in and finding yourself standing on some stranger's head in a mall. Or logging in to find your region you logged off in "isn't available", and you're in a Welcome Area in your frilly nightgown!

I used to "Dress for bed" as I was getting ready to log off. But too often I logged back in and was NOT in my bedroom, due to some SL glitch, and instead was in some Welcome Area I had never heard of. So now I try to be dressed in PG-rated street clothes before I log off.

My main account and each of my alts have their own positions noted as "Home" for that avatar - most often their assigned bedroom in my home.

If I don't go "home", it is usually because I am working on a specific project, such as a commissioned build for a client, or a build I am making on my own land. In that case, I will log off where I stopped working, so I can just log in and resume where I left off.

Yup me too......once in a while, if I have something already planned for next time I log in.....I'll pop home and change to whatever I plan on wearing.

In my world, my imagination, no one has to sleep unless they want to. So my typist poses me in front of a blank wall or staring out at the horizon from 1400 meters in the air, and then HE goes to sleep -- assuming he hasn't already fallen asleep at the computer.

Then I go out and PAR-TEH!

I curl up in a dryer tube and nap, but that's because I'm premium. My basic alts have to go work in the prim mines all night and they bend my ear about it while I'm waiting for my User to log in again in the morning. If the lazy bastard bothers... otherwise I get to put up with their carping ALL DAY.

The night? If it's too dark I simply go to World -> Midday! But don't worry, night only lasts an hour, so be ready to turn and watch the sunrise!

Home, back seat of a blimp, jail...

Usually in my bed upstairs, but if I got a bit wild, it might be on the bathroom floor as I pray to the porcelain goddess, or maybe a hotel room or friend's couch.

Back in the day ... I used to spend the night in my bed, or in the fairy garden. I would curl up, disable AFK, set my busy message so that if you contact me it will tell you I'm asleep, and then I would go sleep RL, leaving my avi logged in.

However, that was rare, and back when the grid was never locked out to logins. I no longer do anything like that.

When my user goes to bed, I am logged out of the grid.

I log my avatar out at my SL home. For awhile my partner and I got into our sleep attire (Asian theme - interestingly the outfits look almost matching but we purchased them independently and at different shops), laid on our bed and pulled the cover over us.

We recently took our large house down to free up prims for my shop and put up a small house we modded to look similar to our original home. Then I had a bad day and took that down. So, wherever my "home" position is set on my land is now where I log out.

Most time at my SL home but some times i am lucky and Master and i lay in each others arms while one or the other goes to bed in RL then when we wake we are there with each other still

I park my avatar back home in the house. I usually leave her looking out of one of the windows. Quite often I come into RA just before getting some sleep.

And I really try not to read every single new thread. Otherwise I would be bleary-eyed and rushing to get ready for work, heh.

For the first few months in Sl I had a routine.Because I had seen so many aves "away" I thought that I would be like that until the next time I logged in.I built myself a secret passage where I used to wall myself up before I logged off.
I got over that phase, now I tend to log off while sitting on my fishing stool ,rod in hand.

Well, I sleep they usual way I think.

Just brush teeth, jump in bed with or without clothes, depends on the weather.
Since I sleep on the south side of my house, I have a serious heat problem in the summer O.o.

In bed nekid with partner. If I do log in somewhere else (never happened I think) naked next day...so what. I don't get embarrassed about my pixels.

You know, if you could set your avatar to stay visible in-world after you disconnect you could get rid of a lot of bots. Instead of a model having to stay connected, they could sit on a prim and "half-disconnect", they'd be logged out and get "asleep" or something over their head.

They'd have to count as a prim on the parcel, of course, and wouldn't show up on the map as a green dot... and this would have to be something you explicitly selected when you logged out... but that would be a useful capability.

hehe, ooh i see unwanted griefing with your plan.

E.g. avatar is asleep mode, but in a pose for two (in bed e.g. of somewhere else in "public" areas..
a griefer could jump on that poseball, and take pictures to use in screamer boxes or sending it to the victim. You know the kind of poses..

Also playing with the asleep avatar e.g. weapons testing or whatnot.
