Ethnic or drunken :)

I've had the most fun where there are fun avatars. I know that's kind of vague and general but it's the truththththththth.

EDIT: Just wanted to clarify: I've visited some places that should have been fun, e.g. amusement parks, but they just didn't click without other visitors.

Yes, I enjoyed amusement parks and the like, but even Greenies is somewhat . . . lacking when you are by yourself.

For largely PG rated fun:
Cartel Hangout
Greenies
Carnival of Doom
Orientation Island (Believe it or not)
Rioko's boat
Any place I can dance
Coffeecup battles on the beach.

I like places where you can make things happen (as opposed to just walking around looking at things, which is also nice). i.e. rides or games or teleporters. I can't pass a pose ball without seeing what it does.

But previous poster is right - the most fun I've had is when I've been with other fun people. Even getting horribly ruthed and stuck in a wall is source of endless entertainment if you're with someone you can laugh with.

An honest answer. The most fun place: Inside the mind of another person.
Playing "grab the silk" on a brand new, blank sim with 3 other furries.
Holding my RL wife while she listens to Max Kleene; she was crying because he sang "their song" and her mate had been gone for over a week.
Sitting on a bench in a crowded park with a friend playing "spot the shemale".
Playing Greedy, Greedy at Lil' Kitten's club.

It's not the places, it's the people.

My own sim area where I had one parcel at the time, tearing up the Linden turf in a freebie police car with my friends. I never laughed so much in my life as we bounced off buildings, ban lines and landed someone's backyard while they were having their own party.

Prim Hearts

Privateer Space

Greenies Home Rezzable

Avaria, ground level

Camp HardKnock, during camp

All of the above are way way more better with other people there, too.

My first visit to Wavelabs at Bora, Bora was the most fun I've had. I spent all day surfing, windsurfing, hang gliding and exploring their Islands.

There are might be better places for some of the above, but it will never replace the fun of discovery that I experienced that day. And the discovery is what hooked me into SL.

Second most fun I had was finding out the manhole covers I had walked over several times while shopping for cars, let you climb down into sewers where I found a secret lab.

Yeah, I have to agree. :)

That said, for pure silly fun, Raglan Shire and ExtroVirtual. Go there, buy a tiny avatar and maybe some dances for tinies and run around for the sheer joy of it. Changes your experience everywhere in SL to be a tiny for an afternoon, and gives you permission to be goofy, fun, and joyful.

Any place full of noobs (as opposed to new citizens, I might add) so long as I am in the company of people who are fun to banter with and share the gems that come up in such insalubrious places.

Said places are the unsavoury side of Second Life and long may they live despite the best efforts of many to destroy them!

The best place ever was Archan circa May to November 2006. Sigh. So many wooden manhoods handed out to the bewildered and unequipped gentlemen who passed through the door. So much amusement following before it got ruined and turned into dust.

There are still pockets of places which are hysterical to those of us with our minds in the gutter and a twisted sense of humour. Not many of you will admit to it maybe but hell ... I will!

FAILING that ...

Bruges is a great place to listen to some music and hang out - not been there too much recently with so many things going on but I am sure it's still fabby.

In the hiearchy of sinners, there are the lowest; the noob griefers, drunken sots and "woot" spammers. Then there are the jerks and a-holes; the mean poeple. The greedy and lustful next, followed by the evil and power hungery. Topping them are the meschievious tricksters followed by the rare few who are only described as "deliciously wicked." Standing alone and unchallanged at the top you will find Cherry Czervik.
