well I didnt know this was goimg to cause such a controversy it was a simple question. One of my theorys is that when looking for porn in Sl ,that is in a DVD format, that u can take to your home and stream, it seems to be expensive. Becauise they have to pay copyright. My thought was that if you made it yourself you charge a fraction of the cost. No its not like the real stuff. But it can be different because there are things you can do that you cant do in RL.and of course it would have to be quality. with plot line and everything. the marketabilty is limitless because it is real avatars instead of porn stars that no one will ever know.
That was my thoughts, to be honest I have already done it.

You have? Cool...yeah, I think the PLOTLINE part of the idea makes it cool, I have always wondered why there's hardly any RL porn with actual plotlines myself (since I was about 17 lol)...seems more interesting.

I have 5 movies done, they are about 20 minutes long, I opened a free theater yesterday in a high traffic area,along with the a theater i have on my own land. I wish the RL porn industry would go in the direction of plots vs. "woops I just delivered a pizza and my pants "fell open", then the "actress" is like "oh let me get that for you", end of plot...ridiculous lol. THAT's what's seen as "porno with a plot" these days...but the style they used with raunchy underground 70's comics, and "Exploitation Movies" made more money, so I guess they just go for the easy formula because it's cheaper.

Luckily when you do this in SL it's WAY cheaper than in RL...no Mafia investors needed.

someone with a passion for quality animation, with an engaging theme
might be able to create something someone else would appreciate

like someone said before: if it's stuff that you can only do as an animation and that features more unrealistic phantasies this is actually a very good way to do it withough spending millions on an anime studio.

there's some gay machinima porn out already. unfortunately the club that was screening them closed til april.
i'm not sure wether they are selling it, cause they had changing screenings for free.

it's all a question of how much it owuld be to see them or rent them. i would surely not pay
more than 40L$ even for a really nice one. rental would have to be cheaper even. or you do the club solution. members pay 60$ per month and they get all the machinima porn they want. that would only work with a certain amount of finished films of course, though.

There is a lot of useful and not so useful (tongue in cheek) discussion on this question. While it may be boring to watch in world shot porn, think about it a moment. There is a place in world for a tutorial style porn. So many of both genders , newbie and not so newbie are afraid to take that first step into a in world relationship which for some is hard enough in real life let alone in world. Inworld one cannot so easily read the partners desires or emotions unless one has also elevated to skype (in world voice is still not reliable). while I could give endless ideas on this topic (which to some is dribble), at least leave the door open to this type of idea. I am not including here the one night stands or for some the one minute stands which is all they are looking for - not quality.

Also, for those who was saying that there might not be a market in this are forgetting those semi-porno video games such as BMX-XXX for the PlayStation 2 and Dead or Alive Extreme Beach Volley Ball 1 for Xbox and 2 for Xbox 360... and there's one for the Nintendo GameCube too... and I'm sure there are tons more in Japan.

I'm not into porn myself, but this idea sounds kind of interesting.... and besides, animated worlds and characters are just cooler to me than things in real life are anyway.
