Hi nand --

This video demonstrates the behavior I described which is that the camera
is not moving all the way to the end of the path after polling waypoints:

Now now Geuis, the customer is always right.

Infrared is it possible that the run you have defined exceeds the 100m shout range? This is the first possibility that comes to mind. Could you recreate this problem for Geuis or myself?

Replying to my own message. I think there may be some confusion on my part.

The problem I'm mentioning is just the initial setup. In the few tests I did last
night the camera will go from whereever it stopped after polling and will then continue
to the starting point where it will continue on. But it was inconsistent. I'll
test again tonight when I get home. My confusion comes from the warppos being
broken, then fixed, then broken again...I think. Lol...

It will be really nice when Filming Path is working as it should...

Appreciate the attention, guys....

Wow, the difference that having a video of the problem makes. I see now how I misinterpreted the problem and it looks to me like this is due to warppos being broken. The camera may only make it 10m in the direction of the first waypoint but when you sit on the camera it should make it's way to the first waypoint and carry on from there.

It's true, that after setting the target and then clicking on the chair it will then proceed
to the starting point and then continue.

One good thing: lookat is working again. =)

Yeah, I answered this before you posted the video. The warppos is only moving about 10m. Once you sit on the camera it continues on to the starting point and still tracks the target.

Yes you did.

When can we expect an update to Filming Path?

Thanks!

Just a data point: Everything is working again with Filming Path at the moment. No warppos problems. Lookat ok...yah....

Also, I removed the video at youtube which showed the warppos issue.

The Updated Filming Path Interface Is Awesome!
03-27-2007 06:42
Just received the updated Filming Path with the new interface. It is a HUGE improvement!

Great job, guys...and thank you, Geuis, for sending out the notecard and new version.
Vastly appreciated...

* * *

As you can tell, I've taken a special interest in this project/product because I
think it is the best filming tool available.

The update didn't address the chair sitting position, but I'm getting used to that
red plug. As a matter of fact if you change it it just won't be the same ride. =)

Some comments on the new UI:

If you have the time/interest, positioning could be evened out a bit. But it looks
pretty darn good @ 1024x768.

A little transparency to the grey background would up the ascetics.

If you're interested can provide you tga's with transparency of the mockup menu
items I posted which would eliminate the need for the background at all.

But it's fine as is.

I continue to promote Filming Path to anyone interested in movie making in SL.

Thanks again...

Too much???? Are you kidding me? L$1500 works out to be less than $6 bucks USD. I'm thinking you don't charge enough. Great tool Geuis...thank you. I've spent L$10,000 and more on a piece of junk here is SL.

This tool is well worth the 1500L!

I have been trying my hand at machinima (total newbie to the medium) and this is going to be by FAR the most indispensable tool I have come across.

EASY AS PIE TO USE! I'm no blonde, I can follow instruction well enough^^ but honestly- you could start playing within five minutes, even if you don't read the notecard enclosed.

Something I don't think was mentioned... any avatar can sit on the chair to film the path you created (yah- using an alt, I have better clothes so get to be the star LOL!)

Three thumbs up, and ten gold stars for you guys! Uber impressed! :D

Taking into consideration hours/days of development, costs of electricy, connection charges, tier charges for vendors, updates and support, for a product with a limited market, 1,500L$ (around 5 USD) this is not an expensive item, given the facilities it offers film makers.

No it doesnt. You have to be able to build and run scripts wherever you are filming.
