Yeah Jay, I misunderstood..I thought the event you talked about was the SS that Eddy was displaying.
It was a misunderstanding, not selective responses. I admit I was reading quickly and missed that.
Sorry Jay.

From: someone For a minimal sum you can ensure your event will be free of any outside marketing. One time and revolving contracts are available. Is it just me, or does this sound ominously like what is generally called in mob circles a 'protection fee'? You know the one...where local shopkeepers can pay to be 'protected' from the mob's own goons? If I'm understanding correctly, then: A) Pay us and we'll ad-bomb your event of choice. B) Pay us and we'll not ad-bomb your event. Sounds like a good 'racket' to me. The big winners will be the ad seller(s), and the big losers will be the event holders. Newfie Pendragon

This was funny until he did it for real. Then it became on a TOS violation. Funny though, with all the mafias we have in game a marketing company is the first to invent SL extortion.

Besides if you're not pushing the boundaries of the TOS you're not enjoying the game to it's maximum potential I say. Aside from Jay's flashback to the Level bombing mentioned in an earlier thread (after reading that I couldn't resist trying, sorry Jay hehe ), no one suffered any unrepairable damage. Well not yet at least. The next version of the artillery will fire images of John Kerry with a shotgun to his head.
