Direct Advertising Campaign For Your SL Business!

With growing competition in SL advertising, new designers/modellers/texturers/animators are worried they will get lost of the sea of information under the old heavyweights. In an effort to bring mass media to the masses, I am now offering a direct marketing campaign custom tailored for your business! Instead of waiting around, hoping someone flies over your land to tell them about the great products you have to offer, have a team of marketing specialists go straight to the customers and get the message out. Pop-ups, instant messages, landmark handouts, mass freebie distribution, it's all been done before. But new breakthrough technology gets your message across in a big way! By loading your custom logo in to a rocket propelled canister, a team of specialists can launch them directly in to a crowd and fly your banner high. Auto-targeting landmark launchers are in the works, along with mobile pop-up landmines.

An example campaign is shown below; note that there are 20-30 people in this picture beneath the banners.

Contact me in world for pricing and other options to suit your businesses' needs.

* There was a technical issue with reversed textures which is fixed now, no need to worry!

If I were at an event and someone launched an advertising bomb like this, I'd report them for abuse and make sure never to visit the retailer they represented.
Devlin is right, this is just griefing with a sponsor's logo stuck on it.

Trimda Hedges used to fly around events in a bi-plane with a large banner trailing behind. But he was far enough away from the crowd that if he crashed, nobody was hurt.

What the heck is that picture? Are you advertising smog?

Not so sure Dev...Eddy man i think your OK...

Last night at my event you blasted my entire crowd with a Lucious ad and as you know...i was LESS then pleased...

The entire building was filled with Black and all i could see was the Lucious logo swirling about. I thought it was yet again another griefer attack as the entire crowd was consumed.

If anyone thinks this is a "good" way to advertise or intend on doing this, you are certainly going to create a bad reputation wtih alot of people.

If Eddy was serious, then he is an idiot. This kind of 'advertising' will get him suspended. And anybody who hires him to advertise in this manner is asking for a lot of lost business.

It would figure Lucious would subscribe to this service considering how they *accidentally* bombed everyone at certain telehubs with landmarks and notecards....seems to me a lot of people got pissed because it was thought the owner didn't realize what she was doing.....and others knew better.....guess who was right?

I don't reckon at all. He was asking for people to take action based on inferenced shreds of evidence. Whether he knew the whole story or not is irrelevant, because he was asking you and me to basically form a mob party against a business owner based on his word vs. the owner.

Not to detract from the thread here; potential ad subscribers please avoid using black logos. Patrons of The Level club thought there was a fire and some minor panic ensued. Also an apology to Jay, I thought you were AFK! *Ahem*, actually I have already signed you up for free to the next service I offer, which is event planner insurance policies! For a minimal sum you can ensure your event will be free of any outside marketing. One time and revolving contracts are available.

Event Insurance Policies! I wonder how much those cost? You must be kidding! That is simply blackmail. There must be a TOS violation somewhere in this idea. If you ever do this to one of my events, expect a parcel ban and abuse report.

When you are a so called "victim" of one of these info-bombs, don't neg rate or turn him in. It's his right to spread his message in your face. :P

And how long until you offer a product to merchants that lets them advertise to people that pay you not to get advertisements? Like Hotmail did...

This thread is a joke right? If so I take back my above comment.

I think the best way to look at this thread is as a joke, that way nobody gets all ass puckered just to find out that it IS a joke.

Sit back, have some lemonade and enjoy the show. If one of these things comes down on an event, then get pissed. Otherwise, proactive angry isnt really the kind of proactive you should be.

Chill out y'all and enjoy the humor or go somewhere else. Stop being aggressive and angry for no good reason.

I was AFK, but right in front of my screen on the phone. It caught my eye when all of a sudeden the crowd and typical particle effects were all blanketed in black. After reading your post...did you think becasue the owner was in "away" mode that you'd get away with this? Even if i had been out of hte room...i had 4 IM's flashing with who did it. I also returned in time to get a snapshot of the Lucious banner amidst the blackness that consumed the dance floor and all 20 something guests.

Eddy i have alway respected you and am not going to hold this against you if it was an attempt at humor. AS i stated last ngiht...DO NOT PULL THIS AGAIN. Ill pull your vendor i let you put up free of charge. I need no insurance beyond that which i already have. Thanks for the offer but ill take the risk of handling fuutre advertising bombs in the same manner as i do griefers. Just keep to being the business man i thoguht you to be with "good" ideas and let this one die now before the joke goes too far.

*edit for terrible typos*

Champie re read the thread...It did happen. I have plenty of reason and actually think I'm handling it calmly because i have always considered Eddy to be a good guy with some business sense. Just making sure it's well known i wont tolerate this kind of activity in my establishment. Dont come in here with your B.S. when you obviuosly are selectively choosing who to read and reply to in this thread.

Jay, before this dies off, PLEASE upload the picture. I tried as hard as I could to get a capture but the entire game lag-bombed out, my camera went crazy, people were yelling and distracting, it was madness. This will die off pretty quick as "bad attempt at humor", but that picture will become a priceless piece of SL history!
