cant log in....

I was just told that SL login might be down for another 3 hours!
I have friends who made it. I`m chatting with one of them in Yahoo right now.

I hope they fix SL for good!!!

I've been trying since about 4pm EST and still no "World". I know it's technical and it will be repaired but.........I'M HAVING MAJOR SL WITHDRAWAL!!! I'm going to get a drink and try again tomorrow. DAMMIT!!!

I am still seeing "Despite Our Best Efforts" as of 9:46 PM PST. My logs show connections to the Agni server timing out. Sigh. I feel for you all.

Having the same problem as Sox, just gets to inventory and locks up. Freezes my whole computer, have to ctl alt del to get out. THIS SUCKS!!!!! FIX IT!!!!!!!

Come on guys, this is theonly interesting thing I have to do all night.

Okay 11:05 pm MT time... I tried the putting the Ahern link into my browser as per Webgoddesses' advice... a really old image came up on the screen and it still stuck right on "preparing inventory" MY INVENTORY Is PREPARED ALREADY!!!!!

I just went shopping... if any of my corsets are missing... grrrrrrrrrr >

1:10am Eastern time. Havent been able to get on all day. This blows. Has this ever happened before? Down for the entire day with no message of hope?

WAS there life before SL?? I don't know. I know I've lost an entire day's worth of profits, which 1500 lindens are not going to compensate for. I know I lost a lot of time working on clothes I needed to be able to upload and see to fix. I know I used to do something before I did SL, but for the life of me I don't remember what it was. And it couldn't have been as cool.

I've been locked out all day too. No backdoors, server is up, grid is up, SL has been reinstalled three times, computer has been rebooted, modem has been power cycled, and Munch is still sitting here waiting while half of SL is getting in, and the rest of us are NOT.

I have to. Reinstalled There.com three times (wouldn't help with sl but what the hell at this point lmao), computer taken out back and hosed off and beaten with a stick, modem has been fed a new hamster on a wheel, and Magnus is still sitting here waiting while half of SL is getting in, and the rest of us are NOT. And while I was writing this. I was finally able to log. ack. *Ducks before munch picks someing up and throws it at me.

Perhaps I spoke to soon. About five seconds after being in. teleporting messed up. I relogged... You know the rest. :/ After trying a few times I was able to get in again though. took a loooong time for loggin to happen though.

I have been sitting here for hours staring at my blank computer screen..... Somehow watching Marilyn Manson videos over and over is just not cutting it... I need help....

We are still having problems with heavy login load on Second Life, as of 2:30PM PST on 12/31. The grid is currently open, but logins are very slow. We are working on some quick fixes that we are testing right now, and additionally are getting new hardware ready to replace the equipment that is still running slow. I don't have an ETA for repairs. We may get some speedups in the next couple hours, otherwise there will likely be grid downtime tommorow (1/1) as we change hardware.

My problem logging in has been fixed. The solution was to completly remove ZoneAlarm(firewall progra), which had stopped several programs from connecting to the net even though I was not running it. Zone Alarm will keep registry entries that will stop connections, even though you may have Zone Alarm off.

Anyhow, a complete removal of Zone Alarm, and reinstallation of it was all that was needed.
