CAn't log in...

Yes same problems here, looks like they hade to take the grid down because money was being taken and assets werent being updated to owned or new purchased being delivered. I can imagine alot of money has changed hands in the last few hours while its been playing up, i tried to purchase something cheap a few times, shows me as paying but no delivery, are ll going to clean this up or are we all going to be im'ing the people we bought the items from?

yes i hope it isnt a big mess either..and that they get everyone's transactions found and accounted for...yes keep note of who you paid to and how much so that if SL cant find or fix, you can go to the person paid to and they can check thier history compare to your amount you paid earlier...hopefully it all goes well for everyone

You know, I own a business in RL and if I delivered (or failed to deliver) a product like SL has been doing I wouldn't have that business long before my customers found someplace else to get their goods and services. Its up; its down; its "broke"; its "fixed"; the "fixes" are "fixed;" or maybe it all just crashes and we dont' get any imformation at all. I'm beginning to wonder if SL is becoming a waste of time, energy and money. At least when other online games go through a major crash and lose this much time, they compensate their players for lost time. Here we just get more promises and "upgrades". Blah........

every day it's the same now: can't log in, the old service excuse. i uninstal and reintall SL on a daily basis now. In the monthe since i joined SL the perfomance has been getting steadily worse and unreliable. I hardly bother going anywhere that requires teleporting any longer as it's so unreliable. It would help if LL provided a third login option such as a default login location at the welcome areas or a similar type of location. Why? because my home sim has been offline more than it's been online.

Three days now, and my SL addiction grows weaker with each passing hour. Another day or two of this and I may be "cured"...

I've got people in my groups been stuck at log in for 3 hours and more.

Linden Labs are aware of the problem but their only advice is 'minimise your screen and be patient'

Fix is scheduled for Tuesday.

Yup been that way for over an hour now. *sigh*

Out of curiousity - does it let you on if you just keep hammering the login for a few hours, or is there another trick to it? I haven't been able to get in at all for the last few days.

Basically you can only get in when no one else is trying to get in. I got in briefly this morning about 5:00 am PST. I can't get in now.

This is just getting stupid, u would think that after all this bitching and complaining someone would fix this crap

what sucks is i work so much i dont have much time to play.... so when i can play it bugs me when my friends are in.. and im on the outside... bugging them in yahoo

here we are going on day 3 of this BS, seems like the lindens wont get off their butts and do jack about the login issues, so here we have to sit and wait until the new patch is released on tuesday , this is giving me flash backs to the login issues that we had on new years eve.

This is day 4 with all this login bs. I even got so pissed i opened a there account. If i can ever log in im cashing in my lindens selling all my crap and im done with this game. Been playing for over a year and it seems to get worse and worse after getting promises that its only gonna get better. WHEN WILL SOMEONE MAKE A 3RDLIFE GAME? What will all these people get that has not been able to log in for days? More grief? crazy!!!! Someone wake my av up when all this bs of this game is in working order.

With the understanding that "such severe login-related problems that cause thousands of eager users to be left out in the cold" are undoubtedly a top "fix this NOW" priority for the Lindens, I'm going to refrain from asking questions that already have been answered. I will instead indulge my need to burn off the steam caused by a chronic case of "I-can't-connect-itis" by publicly venting my frustration over all the issues.

I've sent e-mails to lindenlab.com technical support regarding persistent and unabated login problems. Linden Lab has bounced back nothing more than automatic replies. I won't recommend SL to friends until login and teleport problems are solved.
